I know I'm a day late, but I wanted to wish a Happy Guru Nanak Gurpurab to my friends in the Sikh community! We could all use a little more tolerance, compassion, and equity in our lives in 2020 and we can take our lead from Guru Nanak Sahib Ji in living that way.

Indie's lucky she's cute, because she doesn't always listen, especially when we're trying to get her attention for a self-timer. Brenna and I got out for a good 7 or 8km in the woods in honour of this weekend's Hike for Hospice event! A lot of things are different under COVID, but there's not much that virus can do to disrupt a nice, leisurely sunset stroll in the woods.

Donated blood is in high demand during normal times and i understand that need has only grown during the COVID-19 Pandemic! I wasn't able to donate for quite some time after a trip to Southern Africa, but the only reason that I haven't donated over the last year or two, frankly, is because I've been lazy and it's time to get back to it. I booked an appointment and donated at the Milton Bible Church last week. They're back on Saturday October 10th, book an appointment today at https://www.blood.ca/ ! Donating is quick and easy, and there's even a free juice box in it for you!

Had a great morning cleaning up with Adam, Charles, Salman, Wendy, Ian, Mishal, Sohail, Rubina, Kim, Afreen, Hafsah, and some of the other usual suspects. Great of Councillor Sameera Ali to drop in Apparently, collectively we cleaned up something like 100 lbs in all including a satellite dish (!!!) a sign post, a kite, and much more! Use your garbage, recycling, and compost, folks! Happy Saturday
