Mental Health Week starts today! We've got school wide daily read-alouds & a poster contest happening. Lots of opportunity to talk about our feelings & ways to be mentally well! Let's do this

Ms. Evans Grade 4 class has been quite busy this term learning about light through shadow art, kaleidoscopes, and testing materials. They had a guest speaker who did a talk about light pollution affecting sea birds. They even experimented with water color to create luminescent jellyfish art! They used fraction and decimals in a fraction me art activity and they designed food trucks practicing adding money. Way to go HAWKS!!

Mr. Barron from Brilliant Labs visited GE today and did a wonderful coding session with our Grade 6 students using microbits. Mr. Barron also delivered our 3D printer for our LLC. Thank you Brilliant Labs!!

Tomorrow is the final day for our school-wide collection! If you're able to, please send along food, toiletries, new socks & gently used winter footwear. Our donations will help local families in need. Thank you!

We are in our 2nd week of collecting items! All students are invited to donate food, new socks, toiletries, etc. at school which will be distributed by SA Family Services. Students can bring items in from Dec 1st to 11th. Thank you SO much for your support!

Gander Elementary students will be having their annual Terry Fox Memorial Walk on Friday, September 25. Classes will be walking the same route as in previous years with staggered times throughout the day.
