We have seen so many turtles this year. Or else weve seen the same turtle many times. Either way its pretty neat to see them strolling through the garden.

A little friend came to visit us at the Uxbridge Farmers Market Canada today.

We sure love our butterflies, even though this particular species seldom feeds on flower nectar and prefers tree sap, rotted fruit and even carrion and dung. Its called a Question Mark, named for the tiny white question mark on the underside of its wing.

Found a couple very small Wood frogs making their way through the garden this morning. Watch your step!

All this rain has grown a rainbow in the cutting garden. You can find our fresh cut bouquets at the East Gwillimbury Farmers Market on Thursdays and at the Uxbridge Farmers Market on Sundays.

I almost missed seeing this Gray Treefrog and his excellent camouflage

While I was cutting flowers this morning a little hummingbird flew over and started feeding from the handful of catmint I was holding so I guess our farm-fresh arrangements are officially hummingbird-approved (which sounds like a pretty good endorsement to us). They are available at the farm Fri, Sat and Sun. Today (and every Friday) were also at @ok_friday farmers market at @burlscreek event grounds from 3-8pm with arrangements and our hardy, field grown perennials. And tomorrow you can find us at the Wilfrid Hall for their Canada 150 celebrations.

How beautiful are the flecks of gold on this Red Admiral chrysalis! I collected this one from our nettle patch and brought it up to our information booth. We are now offering fresh cut arrangements. Each one is unique and made entirely from our farm-grown blooms (a mixture of our hardy perennials and annuals weve grown for cutting). The arrangements are available at the farm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and at other times by request. Were very excited about this new way to share our field-grown flowers!

If you see this weird looking fellow in your garden be sure to leave him be- its a baby ladybug! And hell happily eat all the aphids he can find. The ultimate natural pest control.
