Who doesn’t love a yellow rose. After the first killing frost, you should trim longer stems to keep them from snapping in winter storms. This prevents your rose bushes from being top heavy and protects them from being uprooted in strong winter winds.

Using shearswhether hand-held pruners with long scissor like blades or a power trimmerto take off branch tips keeps hedges neat and tidy, and also stimulates bud production near the plants' edges. But as buds multiply, a shrub can get so thick that sunlight can't penetrate it, preventing interior growth. The result: a hedge that gets larger each year and looks lifeless inside. Proper pruning allows some sunlight to get in and enables you to cut back shrubs so they don't get too big.

One of our full yard transformations this year. This newly renovated home got a little facelift with a wrap around garden. The home owner opted for grass seed instead of sod which is a lot more cost effective.

We love getting creative by adding pieces to your garden that your neighbours don’t have. For this garden we used a Bonsai as our centrepiece with japanese ferns and lots of hostas!

This garden has been a work in progress. Over 100 plants planted. Two trees removed. And 50 transplants later and were stiiiilllll going. Have you ever seen Bambo grown in Ontario? Our customer had it hidden in their garden, due to the fact that it was protected it was able to thrive.
