GBC's Church@Home is starting soon... join us for an encouraging time of worship. Hope to "see" you there!

Dear GBC family, I'm glad to be passing along a special announcement regarding our return to worship at the chapel. As you've been hearing for the last little while, GBC's leadership has been busy working toward a safe return to worship in our building.... For the past 3 weeks, we have been getting together as backyard home groups. We now have 6 groups meeting in different locations, involving about 40+ people--we're really excited about this. Starting next Monday, August 17, we will be hosting a prayer meeting at the chapel. What a great way to start back into it. An invitation email will follow with further instructions (remember space is limited & first come - first served). On the following week, Sunday, August 23, we will start live streaming our gatherings (with our leadership present) at the chapel--think about this as a soft launch/test run. We hope to address any issues that we may run into. On Sunday, August 30th, we are planning to have our first official gathering at GBC. For the next while, it will be a hybrid of GBC's Church@Home, including our countdown, pre-recorded music, inspiring videos, but with a live, in-person message. In time, we expect to start adding live music and other worship elements. It is important to note that we won't be able to run children's programs at this time. We will continue to run GBC Kidz' as we have for the last few months. As it seems like our new normal these days, space will be limited and we will require pre-registration, the use of masks (we'll have some on hand--for those who don't have their own), no singing and physical distancing measures in place in order to comply with the current building occupancy limits and health & safety protocols. Due to the limited number of seats available, we may have to alternate attendees (we ask for your cooperation and understanding through this process). More information will be available soon. The health and safety of those who attend is very important to us. We are taking every precaution to ensure that Grace Bible Chapel is a place that you feel safe & comfortable as you worship with us. Needless to say that at any time if you are unwell, tested positive for Covid-19, or traveled outside of the country, we'd ask you to please worship with us from home and respect the required self-isolation protocols. We long to see you face to face and pray for God's blessing as we continue to be faithful during these challenging times. Thank you for your patience. Blessings to you all! SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Dear GBC family, We are looking forward to worshiping together with you at the chapel (more information coming soon).... We are finalizing health and safety protocols for our "reopening," while simultaneously continuing our Church@Home programming (for those unable to join us at the Chapel - through real-time livestreams). Those who'll join us live will notice that our worship gatherings will be a hybrid of our current Church@Home programming with "live" elements (e.g. sermon, etc). In order to make this all possible, we've had to purchase additional audio/visual equipment and are working on making changes to how we do things. In addition, we subscribed to a new and improved Church Online platform. Purposely, we kept GBC's Church Online platform familiar in terms of look, feel and ease of use - so that our transition will be as seamless and simple as possible. We have transferred your login information so you can log in as usual--alternatively, you can now log in with your Facebook account. Dear GBC family, I trust you're keeping well and enjoying these cooler sunny days. Well friends, I'm sure by now you've heard premier Doug Ford's Stage 2 reopening announcement with regard to places of worship. You've probably been wondering how that will look like for Grace Bible Chapel and if I'm honest, I've been wondering the same thing. This is definitely good news and an exciting time for churches as we've seen the positive effects that Ontario has made in flattening th...e curve. While government officials have given the green light for places of worship to open up at 30 percent of the buildings capacity, Grace Bible Chapel enters into this new stage optimistically, but cautiously, as we recognize that there will be many health and safety protocols that will need to be in place before an official reopening takes place. Specific guidelines have been received from the Middlesex-London Health Unit which provides guidance on the prevention and management of Covid-19. Once all levels of leadership have met and are confident that we will be able to reopen safely, GBC will be better positioned to make an official reopening announcement. GBC recognizes the real fear that Covid-19 has brought to our world and we acknowledge that while some are enthusiastically ready to move forward with reopening, there are many that are hesitant to enter a place of worship or even a small gathering. In order to move forward and discern next steps, a survey will be sent to our GBC family soon which will provide insight to our Board of Elders in terms of readiness to reopen. Honest feedback is encouraged and all answers will be kept confidential. I do look forward to seeing each other in the very near future, especially now that our social gathering limit has increased to 10 people. In the meantime, GBC will continue to stream Church@Home (https://gbcparkhill.churchonline.org/) until leadership is confident that we can safely reopen our chapel. Since March, our church didnt close. Our gatherings at 277 Main St. were postponed and moved into our homes, as we connect virtually. We are re-imagining church in all sorts of creative ways.... So today (and everyday) join us - as we ARE the CHURCH - wherever we are!
