Hey Everyone! We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Genesis team! Help us welcome Osteopath, Conor O'Flynn Conor has added a new dynamic to our clinic that will help us offer you a complete lineup of qualified therapists to help you feel your best. And he can write one heck of a bio... here is a little more about our favourite Osteopath!... Conor is a manual Osteopath who was born and raised in Wallaceburg, Ontario. He studied Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, earning a Bachelor of Arts. While studying at Laurier, Conor worked as a personal trainer and varsity strength coach for the university, discovering the need for an integrated fitness and therapy model. After university, Conor earned a diploma in manual osteopathic practice (DOMP) from the National Academy of Osteopathy in North York. He returned to Waterloo and provided osteopathic therapy in both physiotherapy and alternative medicine clinics. Conor’s therapeutic work focuses on musculoskeletal issues of all kinds. He uses manual (hands on) therapy techniques to restore balance and integrity to the body, removing the barriers to healing and recovery. He works hard to keep his techniques and practice up to date with current pain science and manual methods. Conor is passionate about exercise, and bridging the gap between therapy and fitness. He prefers to gear his therapy towards an active recovery, placing the patient in control of their recovery process and transitioning to a healthy, vibrant life. A lifelong athlete, Conor is a nationally qualified powerlifter. He’s competed at the national level in both muay thai kickboxing and grappling competitions. He is a prolific writer and is always looking to improve his fitness and therapy services. ...Hey, look at you! You read the whole post... or scrolled to the bottom. We have more big news coming tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that!

We wanted to share with you the protocol we are implementing to make sure we are all staying safe and we can also focus on helping you ! New Protocol: We will now require a screening sheet to be filled out before each treatment to insure safety. It will be sent with your reminder email. Also we will be taking your temperature when arrive.... We now have a virtual sign in, when you arrive into the parking lot there will be a sign for you to scan your phone on OR again it will be attached to your reminder email to sign in online (listen to some music have some quiet time, no one will judge ;)- the parking lot is all yours! ) Please bring your own mask to your treatment We will then contact you when to come into the building where there will be a hand sanitizer after entry. We will take your directly to the treatment room (yes we will move the mints into the rooms- we would never take that away from our clients) There will be a plastic bin provided for your personal belongings - throw them in, fold them - but please put the lid on when done. Or a designated place to put them. For the time being we ask that you book your next appointment online or by phone instead of after treatment - to decrease the amount of time in the lobby. If you do prefer booking after, the therapist can choose to do that with you inside the treatment room. For the time being we would appreciate e-transfers for the remaining amount if applicable with your insurance company. But Debit/Credit will still be available. Yes this is a ton to remember- and do- but don't worry " we are here for you "

My new business partner and I have been busy building Muskoka chairs for friends and family. For those who are not working right now, what have you been doing to pass the time? Probably stretching eh?

Fifteen cupboards and two closets later, I am even more aware of how much I truly love seeing you guys - my clients - each day. I love interacting, laughing and just chatting with you... oh, and the treatments too! Helping you as much as I can is something that keeps me going every day. Now given the current situation, keeping my hands busy is hard, but thank God for an amazing community that has supplied us with outdoor space to keep our blood pumping and our bodies moving...! Remember to just MOVE your body, in all the ranges you can. And BREATHE, it’s probably the cleanest air we have had in a while . See you guys soon! P.s. yes I sanitizied and cleaned my whole self after using this. Bethany Parker

It's definitely odd being home and not working. At times you feel the need to be productive with your time, and sometimes not so much. So far this week I have had 2 naps, polished off 2 bags of Crispers, and made this! Stay positive everyone! And don't beat yourself up if you nod off in the middle of the day. Tim
