Back to work on the dresser again. Most of the interior parts are put together. These are the pieces that will separate the eight drawers. Working on the exterior parts now. Hopefully get all the parts cut out and the exterior put together this week. A few more drawings to do to get all the details worked out.
My first major project of the Year. It's an eight drawer dresser for our Granddaughter. At 52 in. wide and about 32 in. high it's going to be fairly large. Here are the first three boards that are getting their cut lines to keep track of the various pieces needed to make. There are more than a hundred pieces to be made with many cuts on each, which include mortis, tenons, dadoes and rabbets. Lots of cutting to do. Updated to follow.
All setup again this morning for another day in Quidi Vidi Plantation. Lots of locally made, top quality products of all kinds. Come down and see us. We have a nice selection of Damascus Steel hunting and kitchen knives.
Day one of two almost over here at the Plantation. Here is our slightly down scaled display. We'll be back again tomorrow. Come and see all the wonderful hand made things.
Here's the finished product on the kitchen knives. Handles are shaped and finished. They also have their own custom fitted wood sheath. All ready to be seen at the Plantation today and tomorrow. Dec 5 and6.
Today it's kitchen knives. These are ready for handle shaping. Right after that I have to make the wood sheaths for them. Going to be a busy day.
Working on hunting knife sheaths today. A bit of a production line. Should be ready for this weekend's market. A nice variety of blade styles. Probably going to stick with the black double stitched style.
Looking forward to being at this wonderful market Dec 5 & 6!
