Work Matters will be hosting a series of virtual roundtable discussions to delve into the hiring and staff retention issues facing businesses in the healthcare, manufacturing and transportation industries in Lanark and Renfrew Counties. These roundtable discussions are the first step in Work Matters’ three phase plan. The discussions will inform what is covered in the Future of Work Summits, as well as what will be included in the Toolkit being developed for employers. Shel...ley More, the Work Matters Project Lead, highlights that, These discussions allow participants to have a voice in employer staffing priorities in Lanark and Renfrew, to gain knowledge, and take action to solve staffing challenges. Work Matters seeks to use a three-step approach to assist businesses in the healthcare, transportation and manufacturing industries with hiring and staff retention over the next year. These phases are: Roundtables to consult with employers to delve into the issues. Summits to provide solutions in a collaborative environment. Showcases to exhibit employers and their industry to job seekers and the next generation of workers. If you wish to participate, please fill out the form located at www.workmatters.ca/roundtables/roundtabl-sign-up or contact Shelley More directly.
