I always used to say I want to be fit, sometimes I still do. Then someone said to me, well you are fit. You can run, ride a bike, do a HITT workout etc. It didn’t hit me until they said that when I thought, what really defines being fit? Rare photo of me not in leggings and a sports bra I do sneak into jeans sometimes This morning when I threw these new babies on I felt so proud. Officially down TWO SIZES in jeans!!!! Funny story - When I bought these the change rooms weren’t open (covid). So I bought one size smaller than my normal and went to the bathroom to make sure they fit. To my surprise, I had to go back and get another size smaller!!!! I went home feeling like a million bucks ... It’s the little things, right? ALYSSA TESTIMONIAL I am so grateful for joining this program! While I have worked out in the past, I always had a hard time pushing myself and maintaining consistency! However, being a part of the accountability group helped keep me motivated and on track! The HIIT workouts were awesome and effective! I enjoyed how each circuit worked on different body parts (legs, arms, cardio, and abs)! I can actually say I ENJOY working out now (can't say the same about burpees though)! I... can't thank Maddy enough for all the hard work she has put into these workouts, and for always being there to support/answer questions/provide modifications! Highly recommend! While I have lost 8 pounds and several inches (mainly my tummy and back area), I am mostly celebrating the way I feel and the positive effect this group has had on my mental health (especially during these times). JENNA TESTIMONIAL! This program could not have come at a better time for me! I started this program roughly 7 weeks after giving birth to my third baby. I needed something to keep me motivated and accountable and this program did just that! In 8 weeks, I lost 15.5 inches and just under 5 pounds. More importantly, I was able to see my strength and stamina increase as I was able to push myself by using heavier weights and cutting out the rest periods between circuits. One aspec...t that I really loved was the accountability group. It was so nice to be a part of a community of like minded individuals who were on a similar journey. Not to mention how nice it was to be cheered on by friends and total strangers and to be able to do the same for them. There were many days when my motivation was lacking after a long night with very little sleep but knowing I was part of this group gave me the little push I needed to get it done. Yesterday I asked you to take part in a short body image survey on my stories. Thank you for all those that participated and were honest! I was curious to see one, what people thought of their bodies and two, how people felt in the bodies they have. I wanted to do this based on my own experiences, and most importantly how I view my body. Results: Belly Flab - 100% YES Stretch Marks - 86% YES, 14% NO... Cellulite - 90% YES, 10% NO Back Flab - 88% YES, 12% NO Arm Flab - 86% YES, 14% NO Feel unfit, unhealthy, fat - 72% YES, 28% NO Cover these things up - 86% YES, 14% NO The results really spoke to me. So many of us have some "imperfections" as some might call them. I have always called them beauty marks. They mark my beauty and how it is different from someone else. What really spoke to me was the last two questions. So many of us feel like we are not meeting the "expectation" with our bodies whatever that might be, so we cover it up. I am here to challenge you to look at the one thing that really bothers you on your body, and love it. Show it off. You are beautiful with what you have and what you are. (I should mention the media here, but that will have to be a different post in itself!!!!) I am a girl who identifies as fit but has rolls, flab and also covers things up but I have started to embrace my imperfections as beauty. They represent me and who I am. MACKENZIE TESTIMONIAL I have always struggled with eating, my weight, working out, and feeling good about myself. I typically start working out and fall off the horse about 2 weeks in. If I don’t see progress I become discouraged and I go back to my regular ways. This program was the opposite of that, I knew from workout week one I was feeling GREAT and this was going to be a successful life change. Here we are at week 8 and I can’t believe the progress and all the positive v...ibes I’m feeling about myself. I love that each workout gets all the muscle groups working, I tend to get bored if I am repeating the same movements. I also tend to judge my workouts by my sweat, and man each day I was sweating from all angles. I found myself definitely getting stronger on each day, an overall strength not just focusing on one muscle group. This was a great kick start and now I can start to focus on toning. Overall, I’m not sure how much I have lost in pounds but the inches are significant, for example my stomach is down 3 inches. I am also so happy to have the girls in the accountability group. I can always count on their encouragement to keep pushing me forward!! Thanks Maddy for giving me this opportunity! I can’t wait for the next set of 8 weeks!!

I have been absent from here for a little bit. I was reflecting on social media, in particular this account and where I wanted it to go. When I first started it, I used it as a way to motivate me to continue on my health journey. However, I found myself critiquing my photos and asking myself things like do I look fit? What would people think of this? I found this negative, deflating and not motivating. I have decided to make this a place where girls can see realness, ...honesty and get a little motivation. I am not perfect, nor do I ever want to be. I have stretch marks and belly rolls. Does that mean I’m fat? No. Does that mean I’m not fit? No. Does it mean I am human? YES. Take this picture for example The first one is when I first woke up, the second one is around 2pm after eating breakfast, lunch and having a popsicle! Same girl, same bod, different times of the day. The belly is OKAY and I need to be a little nicer to myself. Going forward you’ll see a lot more of this.
