Calling all local Charities; the Ghost Walk for Charity is now accepting applications from non-profit organizations, to receive financial support in 2020 As we all know, the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused an unprecedented economic strain on a worldwide scale. This year more than ever, the Ghost Walk for Charity is committed to providing a few local charities with much needed financial aid, to assist with day to day operations. Though we will be postponing our annual ...haunted house event until October 2021, we will be operating a Haunted Golf tournament in September and other fundraising initiatives to generate monetary support for this year’s selected charities. Guidelines for applications can be found online at: www.theghostwalk.ca under the Application for funds tab. Completed applications can be submitted via email to: [email protected] Applications will be collected from August 3rd- 10th and the selected charities will be announced shortly thereafter. It is with great sadness, we must regretfully announce that The Ghost Walk for Charity will not be operating our annual Halloween event this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was not an easy one, but public safety is our top priority and the health of our community is paramount to us. We will resume in Fall 2021 and the event will big bigger and better than ever before. With that said, our local charities have suffered great financial losses this year due to t...he pandemic and that is not something we take lightly. For this reason, we will be holding a series of modified fundraisers, to generate much needed support for these organizations. Our main event will be a Haunted Golf tournament, taking place in September. This event will operate using scheduled tee-times to ensure social distancing protocol is being observed and include jump scares, costumes, audio visual effects and more. We will also generate much needed financial support with a series of online auctions. These auctions will include various items, that will appeal to all ages and demographics (eg. House wares, Hotel Accommodations, signed hockey jerseys, candy, gift certificates, jewellery and MUCH more). As always, tickets for our annual 50/50 draw will be available for purchase in the near future. In closing, we would like to reinforce our appreciation for ALL of the community support from our patrons and sponsors over the years; we truly couldn’t do this without you. Just a reminder that we will be operating for Scare-Hours tonight, from 7-10pm, in what will be our FINAL production of 2019. It’s going to be a wet one, but don’t forget, our line up has a roof, and the event is INDOORS, so we’ve got you COVERED! See you tonight Cornwall; it’s going to be a scary one!!!
