Just a reminder that we are closed until at least May 20, but will not be rebooking appointments for hair or tattoos until we are absolutely certain that we have the go ahead to reopen. Hello friends, in light of today's announcement by the Ford government we will be forced to cancel all hair & tattoo appts for the next 28 days. We have had a lot of clients ask if there is anything they can do to help. If you would like to voice that you feel both the hair salon & tattoo studio are just as safe to operate at reduced capacity as Wal Mart or Costco (and let's face it, they cannot contact trace like us or sanitize between every client) please head to https://ww...w.fairnessforwomen.ca/ and fill out the form that will send a letter to your MPP & Doug Ford's office saying just that. It is certainly people all across the gender spectrum who are affected by these shutdowns, and we do not like that this URL excludes them, however it is an industry that is predominately run by women and is being unfairly targeted in these shutdowns. We absolutely believe in protecting our community and statistics show that the personal care sector is doing just that, with 0 Covid deaths linked to it to date in Ontario. Good morning everyone! Just stopping in to let you know that both Jerica and Bailey have very few free appointments for the remainder of the year. Jerica will no longer be accepting new clients for the remainder of the year and Bailey will be closing her books for December only. Thank you again for keeping us so very busy! We are grateful every day to have a bustling salon during these uncertain times. That being said, due to the uncertainty of these times, we have been getti...ng far more cancellations than is normal for us. We had considered instituting a cancellation policy but have decided that it would not be fair as most of these cancellations are due to new C-19 restrictions. If you must cancel due to self-screening, you will be given priority on the cancellation list. If you cannot secure an appointment before 2021, please don't be shy to be added to the list as it is being used now more than ever. We may have to reconsider the addition of a cancellation policy in the future, but for now we are trying to work through C-19 policies as smoothly as we can for everyone. Hello lovelies, Just wanted to touch base on a few things that have been coming up. Recently we have been receiving quite a few last minute cancellations. We understand life can be unpredictable, however we are in high demand and when we don't get proper notice it doesn't allow us to call someone on the cancellation list. Please try to give us as much notice as possible when you can't make an appointment. <3 Just a gentle reminder that we don't yet have a receptionist and as ...our schedules are quite busy during the day we aren't always able to return your text messages immediately. We also receive many messages outside of our business hours. You are welcome to send a message at any time, but we will only be responding during business hours. Thanks for your understanding. Lastly, with the holiday season only 1-3 hair appointments away, the rest of the year is booking up quickly for us. We highly recommend booking multiple hair appointments in advance in order to receive your desired time slot. Thanks so much for keeping us so busy & respecting our new Covid protocols. A friendly reminder from @korimtemkin this #tbt #beautylaunchpad Have you ever had a stylist say no to you because you have box dye in your hair? Have yo...u ever wondered what makes box dye so bad? Let’s unpack this! To put it as simply as I can, the difference between a box & a pro tube of color comes down to what’s in it. When you come to a salon, your stylist has a whole range of colors & developers that range in different levels of ammonia & other chemicals used to lift/color the hair. With a box, they want as many people as possible to get results so they put the HIGHEST levels of these chemicals. This means even if you use black or a dark color, they’re using the same chemicals made to lighten the hair, which you DONT need, especially when you’re going dark. What happens after that color is in your hair? Because the chemicals are stronger, they’re jammed way harder in to your hair & end up staining your hair at its core. Imagine I dump a latte & a cup of plain coffee onto a white carpet. Which one is going to come out easier? The more diluted one, NOT the stronger one! Now let’s talk about goals! We’ve all gone dark to turn around & want to go light again. That’s OK!! But let’s go back to the carpet. If I dump 1 cup of coffee on the carpet, it may never be pure white again, but we could get it close over time. NOW imagine I dump 5 cups of coffee over the same piece of carpet & just let it sit. Have fun cleaning it then! This applies with hair too. I’ve seen miracles work & I’ve gotten people light eventually with box in their hair. But this takes a lot of time and a lot of $$$! These people tend to be extremely serious about their goal & are willing to cut their hair, pay a lot of $ and spend a lot of time with me. If you’re unwilling to do those things, let’s have a reasonable goal! Reds, caramel, different shades of brown & dark purple are more reasonable AND super beautiful!! They may take a session or 2, but at least it’s within REASON for you & your stylist. Blondes don’t have the most fun! Healthy hair does! See more

Thanks everyone for your support and understanding as we gear to open up! If your appointment was cancelled due to covid and you haven't received a call or message yet, not to worry, we are still working our way down the list! If you are expecting a call and have not heard from us by midweek next week, feel free to reach out. This is new for all of us, The way we will be doing business is changing due to covid, of course. Here are some changes to expect:... -we are unable to accept walk ins at this time -we ask that you wash or sanitize your hands immediately upon entering the building -masks will be worn by both stylist/tattooist & client -clients will not be permitted to bring guests with them to their appointments at this time, the only exception being if the client is under 12 or requires personal care -we are unable to provide coffee or tea at this time -please no conversation during your shampoo, take this moment to relax & enjoy the head massage -please do your best to respect social distancing while in the salon, stations are spaced far enough apart so this should not be an issue -we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on product at this time -slippers will not be provided at this time, you are welcome to wear your shoes in the salon Thank you again for your understanding & we look forward to seeing you again! We will do our best to maintain the highest quality services possible during these restrictions & look forward to the day that we can return to normalcy. <3

As we are sure you are all aware, both of our businesses have been given the go ahead to open this Friday! We are currently inundated with messages and trying to sift through them all. We have decided to give priority to clients who have had their appointments cancelled due to quarantine first. If you did not have an appointment before then feel free to leave us a message to be added to our list. Things will have to operate a little different due to social distancing and we will require all clients to wear masks. If you don’t have one, we can provide on for you. The salon will most likely be faced with lots of corrective work unfortunately and this will be reflected in your service price. We are trying our best to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible and we ask you for your patience.

Just checking in folks! As we see other provinces beginning to reopen their services, we remain hopeful that we will be given the go-ahead soon. Things will look a bit different for some time as we introduce social distancing protocols and newly released safety regulations. We will be contacting all clients who had to miss appointments due to the outbreak first.
