Lioness Virtual Competition Details: - Saturday Sept 12th we will release 3 workouts for the athletes; all 3 hours apart. - The workouts will be released in Mountain Daylight Time.... - Once announced live, you will have 3 hours to get in the - workout and submit your score. - This event has 3 divisions: Rx, 50/50, and Fun. You will find the details when you select your division when registering. -Cash Pot for 1st place in each division. The more that register, the more we pay! The Progressive Prize Pot will be divided out between the top 1st place team in all divisions. - Must video your workouts and submit your own scores. Girls Gone Rx started with the idea of getting women together to benefit a great cause. Even if we could not all come together physically during these times, we saw some amazing stories come out of our Virtual Competition Series. This team building event helped us fight through obstacles and overcome them while learning to be strong, confident and fearless. With a cloud of uncertainty and event limitations, although we can’t host a physical event, we are excited to go virtual! Our event is on.just in a different way! What does that look like for you? ... We are now a part of a nationwide virtual event which begins July 20th, 2020. There will be 3 workouts announced just prior to that date. These workouts will be created in a way that you can still do them as a team if able or individually in the comfort of your own homes. You may be asking - "but I don’t have any equipment?" Or, "I haven’t lifted a barbell in months!" We’re readywe prepare for the unknown. We get creative and we adapt. All workouts will include movements that everyone can do, whether you have equipment or not. Now is your chance to sign up if you haven’t done so yet! Dear strong ladies, beloved athletes, hosting gyms, spectators and volunteers. We hope you are safe, well and staying at home. It’s been a long several weeks. Even still, the state of affairs here in Canada is as uncertain as ever. ... We have been working behind the scenes to consider all government advice and propose how we can move forward. We are now reaching out now to update you, with what we have. Many of you who were signed up and ready to rock at our Spring and early Summer events, but we were sadly left with no choice but to postpone due to the international lockdown. We were 100% invested in delivering you a truly, amazing day. That hasn’t changed, our events have not been cancelled, and we still intend to deliver that. Our goal remains the same - to raise funds and awareness for our chosen charity @breastcancerccs and also because of this unique time support our hosting gyms. We understand the anxiety and the uncertainty you may all be feeling. Competing may be the least of your worries right now, but you will be prepared. We must thank you for being so patient and truly supportive, not only to us but to your fellows. It is a difficult time for everyone. We hope that you will support us and be just a little more patient until we know for sure when, we will reschedule your time to shine. It is not an ‘if’, but a ‘when’. It may look different than before. It is not a ‘goodbye’, but a 'see you soon’. Thank you, for being a part of that so far. GGRx x Brockville at @crossfitbecc April 25th will be moved to June 20th GGRx x Langley at @dogsdencrossfit May 2nd will be moved to July 4th... GGRx x Orillia at @crossfit.exhilarate May 6h will be moved to June 13th We hope you can appreciate and agree that in this time of uncertainty it is the safest and most responsible decision: the health and wellbeing of our athletes, volunteers and spectators comes first and above all else. Registered teams will be transferred to the new date, giving you ladies more time to brush up on your training and feel more prepared for the day as well as fundraise We hope this postponement works for everyone and no teams have to cancel.
