Part 2 To add to the exciting news of a new salon, Glamourgeek Beauty will no longer keep it’s name as Glamourgeek Beauty. I’ve been working on rebranding my business for over a year.. and now that I’ve finally found the perfect space, now is the time to make the dream changes I’ve been wanting. Three years ago when I opened my business, I was so focused on the things that needed to be done and the furniture/stock/equipment that I needed, I never really came up with a busin...ess name. When it came down to having to legally register, I ended up going with what my beauty Instagram name was- Glamourgeek Beauty. I never really liked it, but it was the only thing I had. Yes, this is the SAME business, just with a new face and a new name. The past three years as Glamourgeek Beauty was an amazing stepping stone for me. It taught me, it grew me and it helped me figure out exactly how I want my salon to look and how I want it to be. I’m SO excited for many more years to come in a salon the way I’ve wanted it to be. Periwinkle Studio- it has a lot of meaning behind the name. However, no my space is not going to be all painted in blue Periwinkle happens to be something I’ve always shared with my mom; our favourite colour. The colour Periwinkle represents serenity, calmness, winter and ice. It also symbolizes blossoming friendships, sentimental memories and everlasting love All the rebranding has been something I’ve spent the last year working hard on, but it’s been even harder having to keep my mouth shut about it. Now that I can FINALLY spill the beans ...we will be moving to a BRAND NEW salon! While this new space provides tons of free parking, it is also being completely renovated- top to bottom. All new chandeliers, a brand new bathroom (that was once non-existent) with a brand new vanity, all fresh paint, all new flooring, all new appliances, and an all new atmosphere. There’s a lot of work to be done, but I can’t wait to show you the final result! Keep your eyes peeled. I will be posting lots of before photos, reno updates & photos and the finished result. Can’t wait to share the journey! The opening date (to be determined) and new address will be posted at a later date Until then, all services will continue at the Fraser st location!
