The auction is now open! Please look at the different items posted on our page, including this framed pencil which has a very important story behind it.
Framed Mini Pencil In 2014, Clinton and his students met a boy, Ali, in his primary school class. He had a pencil that was so short, he could not complete is work. One of the teacher candidates that were visiting Tanzania gave him a brand new pencil. She was so inspired by his reaction to a new pencil that she encouraged all of her students to use their pencils until they could not use them any more. Some of these pencils have been framed and sold to raise money for school's ...like Ali's in Tanzania. The story of this pencil is attached to the back. Please donate to the Build-A-Classroom Fundraiser on our Go Fund Me page for Embukoi Primary School, in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. Our goal is to raise $35,000 USD ($50,000 Canadian) by the end of 2021 to build a classroom block with 3 large classrooms, a staff lounge, and a principal’s office. The students are eager to learn and have a strong desire to obtain an education. However, with over 200 students in one classroom, providing a quality education is difficult, even for the most passionate teachers. Your generous contributions will help provide teachers a reasonable space to facilitate learning, and give students a more accessible and engaging learning environment.
A quick reminder that our Tanzania Textbook fundraiser is January 13, 2018. Please come out and support this worthy cause. You can also participate by donating a textbook ($10.00). Bring a pencil, or pen, or sharpener, or a pencil crayon etc!!!!!!
