*An announcement came from Hastings and Prince Edward Health Unit* At Glow, we have been seeing only clients local to the area since we reopened after the first provincial lockdown in June. We appreciate the patience of all new clients that called, as we awkwardly had to ask where you permanently reside... and you were all so gracious and understanding. We also appreciate that we have been in business together for over 10 years, and business decisions like these are a luxury.... If we could use our stability to help our community stay safe, we are and have been ALL in since day one. If you live in the area but have to hop on the Glenora Ferry, risk your life on the construction site that is the Skyway Bridge, or wait for that little swing bridge in Carrying Place, chances are you aren’t technically in the H&PE health unit. We will be going through our appointment book, and will be in touch to cancel your appointment if need be. Hang tight friends, please. Stay at home. Wash your hands. Xo

You will find us texting, calling and scheduling all of your appointments that have been cancelled in the coming days. A few gentle reminders ~We are trying our best to go in order of when appointments were cancelled.... ~It will take several days to be able to reach everyone. Rest assured we are on it, and will be in touch. ~All appointments scheduled on Wednesday February 10th or later remain the same. ~Keep those phones handy. If you are expecting to hear from us, the sooner we connect and confirm, the more seamless the process will be for all. We appreciate your patience as we tackle reopening for a second time. As daunting as this task seems, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to have you all in our chairs, and our lives SEE YOU SOON

Official news on our reopening date expected in the next 48 hours. We are patiently waiting with sharpened pencils until then, when we will reach out to each and every one who had a cancelled appointment to get you back on the books. Holiday season number 13 at Glow is wrapped up and under the tree a little earlier than usual as we say farewell to 2020. As unlucky as 13 has been in many ways, we are focusing on the small gifts that emerged from a 13-week forced closure, even as the next one is about to begin. ... A true appreciation for what was otherwise the daily grind of adulthood. Being able to work at a job you love while your children are at school is actually a real blessing. Who knew?! Being Canadian is really, really great. We don’t have to look far to see what shutdowns have meant for our industry in other countries. The beautiful little business we have built together. We like to think one attracts what they put out into the world. Our days are spent with back-to-back wonderful people who have shown us so much kindness and generosity not just this year, but every year. We promise to keep doing us, and you keep doing you. We made our way onto the ‘gram! Social media is a job in itself. There are companies that do only this and we can see why. Our number one priority is and always will be our work behind the chair. Being able to create a humble space here to communicate with you when things pop up has been crossed off the to-do list. Time with our families. While Glow was a baby in the midst of our personal lives having babies, it seemed like a bit of a blur. Heading back to work earlier than many as our shop needed us too, this time in 2020 was so precious for us and our children. We know business was hard for all of us and your roots were killing you, but we were given this gift of time we never would have had, which is possibly the greatest gift of all. We got through this once, and we will again. All appointments during our mandated closure have been cancelled. As soon as a reopening date has been set, you will hear from us with a new appointment time- we promise. We are old hat at this now and have a plan ready to execute the moment we hear the word GO. THANKFUL ... to have weathered the storm of 2020 thus far. ...to be back in our space, in our groove, seeing all of you again.
