MOTHERS DAY! Thank you for all who came and supported your mothers, and us, by treating them on this very special Day! Last year this time I was diagnosed with breast cancer. They messed up big time and called me at work to book my oncologist appointment, before I had had my doctors appointment to inform me that I was positive. I was flooded with fear and anxiety having losing my mother 12 years prior. Fast forward 1 year. Surgery, chemo, radiation, surgery again. All clear ...and ready to rock and roll! I am so happy to be here and so happy to be an adoptive mother to my many employees from abroad so far from their own mothers! They warm my heart daily. A couple of them have just left to start their journey into motherhood as well. Our work family has grown into generations! Sending all the love to all the mothers! My heart is full and I thank you all! And keep your eyes open, we have some big news coming!

VEGAN MANGO RASPBERRY CHEESECAKES! Refined sugar free and made with @yoggu.foods yogurt! Dang these are good!! Find them in our freezer section in store and specials menu online! Look how good they look as they thaw!

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS! Did you know that the bakery basically started with these cookies? Our Salted oat cookie used to be naked with buckwheat flakes until our supplier chain ceased to exist. For over 10 years they have contained dairy. We can’t F with these in store so we packed up some options for our dairy free and vegan following. Our mix makes a ton of cookies and you can choose to make them vegan, like we do in store, or just dairy free! I have been going none stop since my body aloud me to so I had a little chill time ,gluten & dairy free style, with @thestraitandnarrow @borealfolk @harlowatelier and an epsom salt bath! Thank you for supporting local during these times! We love you so!

CHICKEN POT PIES STOCKED! We make these pies A LOT for y’all so we have a little fun with how many we are making and the amount is different every time. They sent me a message to get my count, and I got it bang on!! I think I’m ready to get back to working with these wonderful souls!

VEGAN NUT FREE KALE PESTO RECIPE! I’ve been wanting to share a recipe for a long time and this is my favourite go to! It can be use on so many things for so many dishes! We use it in our vegan breakfast sandwiches. 5 cups kale of choice (my favourite is Lacinato)... 3 cups basil leaves, stems removed 1/3 cup toasted sunflower seeds 1/2 cup olive oil 1/3 cup chickpea miso 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (approximately 1 lemon) 1-2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp salt (I’ve recently started adding the zest from the lemon and I love it even more) Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. I use a blender with a plunger and pulse and mix so you do not cream the ingredients. Instead you want the kale and basil to be in very tiny pieces. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

MY VALENTINE. He’s caring. He’s passionate. He’s a mega snacker. He’s funny. He’s a farmer. He’s an animal lover. And he has done his very best running our house while making sure my needs are met while we’ve journeyed this difficult year of cancer. He deserves an applause. And a bunch of snacks!

MAKE OVER NUMBER 1! So it’s been 11 years of making this sausage roll. It has been quite popular but it’s not up to the standard that I would like and cannot believe I have waited so long to to revamp it. We have a few of the OG’s left and will rolling out our new sausage roll soon! It is lightly flavoured with thyme and toasted fennel seeds. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Over the years there were times I was dead set on selling! I couldn’t do it anymore! It was too hard! Something happened this past year. The world changed. I have been so fortunate to be among the food industry that has thrived. You needed us. You wanted us. You supported us. I want to feed you. I want to do the best I can for you and my staff.
