So wow we can't thank you all enough for the tremendous support that came in for our epilepsy fundraiser this year. We raised over 850.00 for the Bourgon family. This will help them to cover additional medical expenses for their son. We had the pleasure of meeting up with Adam and his mom Amy today...and they were beyond thrilled and overwhelmed with all the support they have received. We wanted to say thanks again to all of you for helping out this young man. We wish you all the very best with your upcoming hospital stay Adam.

Thanks again for all the support. It's amazing to see all the love coming in for this year's fundraiser. Our community is awesome...so generous in your support for this year's family. Hey everyone... Updates... Due to recent numbers rising in our community we will continue to operate with curbside pickup until after Easter. We have a few staff with medical concerns and we want to keep them as safe as possible. To place an order...anytime...call 519-336-0440... We will be available for pickups Tuesday to Saturday. We have been wanting to post about this past year for some time now...but just haven't had the time. We don't know about you but our days are flying by. We are ok with how fast last year went by...and with the way things are progressing...we are ok if this year flies by too. We have been known to share our personal journey with having a family and owning a business...and to be honest...we are feeling very blessed these days to be able to have both. A family. And a business. We can't thank you enough....all of you that have recommended us...shared our posts...and continued to support us all year long. We appreciate each and everyone of you. We thank those of you who are continuing to support local. You're all amazing. Lots of things will be happening for us here at Junior Baker this coming year...some really good things and some that might pose a few challenges...but of course...as always, we will look ahead with positive thoughts. Last year was a hard year...but we made it through thanks to all of you. We found out Nicole was diagnosed with a brain lesion back in January 2020 that has been causing her some difficulty. Mostly from migraine pain. It's not been an easy year for her...but she pulled strength from all of the stories we heard throughout this year. Stories of absolute bravery and preservence. And while we may be dealing with a few issues...so are so many of you...dealing with your own struggles. This year we hope to find some answers for Nicole and some peace for her. This year we will also be talking with our daughter's neurosurgeon about surgery. Apparently she is having an increase in seizures again and although her VNS device is helping it can no longer keep up to the number of seizures she's having. We will of course keep you informed of any days we will need to take off for that....but we are thinking it won't be until late summer. We have a great staff at Junior Baker that will be helping out so we are not worried about anything. You will all be well taken care of. Nicole will continue on until our daughters surgery and then will take some time off...but this will all depend on so many factors. We just wanted to give you a heads up that this year will be an interesting one. We will keep you posted about dates...and we hope you keep sharing your stories with us...we can find strength to carry on through others. If any one ever has questions or thoughts to share with us relating to Epilepsy...VNS Implant or anything else...send us a message. We will connect back with you. Hey Sarnia...we heard that you're missing us. :) We have had our doors closed up to the general public for some time now. As most of you know we have a medicall...y fragile daughter at home and because we know the importance of staying healthy in times like these, we have decided to keep our doors closed a little longer. We hope to welcome everyone back into the bakery by Thanksgiving!! October 1st...Thursday will be our back to regular business hours and open to the public. Until then we are still taking orders, we're at the bakery Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10-4 and 10-3 on Saturday's. We're available to take orders by phone, email, Facebook and Instagram, so just let us know what you'd like to order cause we're still making up all your favorites, available for curbside pickup anytime. :) Orders for Thanksgiving as always will receive a 10 % discount, if your order is placed before September 30th. :) Some thanksgiving products that have become super popular are: PIES .... Heads up...Christina Street might be closing for the weekends, which will mean a bit of a walk to pick up your orders...If you are not wanting to park and walk to pick up, we can deliver to you. With all that is going on our downtown resturants are hoping this will help them to open up at a safe distance for everyone. We too hope this helps everyone maintain a good distance while enjoying some delish food...Downtown. :) While we are all doing our best to remain open to those in our community, we have all had to do things a little differently. We will be available BY PHONE Tuesday-Saturday 10-4pm We are availble for CURBSIDE PICKUPS anytime during the hours of 10-4pm Tuesday's to Saturday's, but you must have an order to schedule a pick up. We are taking orders for all products now, but we do require advance notice for all orders. Hi there So we have a few updates: Junior Baker, at this time, will continue to offer curbside pick up with a preorder, and prepayment either by credit card over the phone or through etransfer. We understand that this may be an issue for some of you, but hope that you will continue to be as understanding as you have been, and we can only apologize if this does not work for you. (As most of you know we have a daughter that is medically fragile, and we feel at this time, that... we still need to operate as safely as we can for everyone in your family as well as ours.) We will continue to update you with any changes to this new way of business...BUT feel free to place an order any time for whatever you like...and we will make it fresh for you as always. :) CAKES...with so many things to celebrate, we totally understand how hard it's been to not celebrate. We have been making up a few cakes. Small ones of course. :) And we are now able to do up some simple decor elements. At this time we are not making up large cakes for big gatherings, but I don't know how many people are even going to be having large gatherings for a while right?? Let us try to help...Send us the recipe along with a list of the allergies you have and we will do our best to convert it into something you can enjoy again. We are wondering how you are doing? We hope you are all staying healthy and well. We worry how this will continue to affect all of us for the coming months...and really can't convey our true appreciation for each of you and the support you have given to all of us here at the bakery. Hi All, First of all, we want to wish for you and your families good health and well being throughout this difficult time. The bakery will continue to be closed to the general public until further notice. We understand that some of you have serious food allergies, and we are talking with health officials everyday to make sure we are within regulations to provide ONLY essential baked goods to those with severe food restrictions. If you require special dietary restricted esse...ntial food items, please contact the bakery and we will do our best to get products to you as per allowance from our local health unit. (This process may take a few days, and with things changing everyday, this may change as well.) We hope that during this time you think about those that are still struggling every day with other health issues... we hope that you are able to connect with your loved ones via social media, and that you continue to support each other as you do throughout the year. Our prayers go out to all of you. We also want you to remember that March 26th...that's this Thursday...is PURPLE DAY. It is a day set aside to support those living with epilepsy. As most of you know our daughter, Kyrsten, has Lenox Gastaut syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. It is a constant struggle every day for her, and with not being able to see and hug her family, she is having an even harder time right now then normal. We know that communication helps, which is why we ask that you connect with us on Thursday March 26th and SHOW US YOUR PURPLE....take a picture of yourself wearing purple and send it to us...Kyrsten, our daughter would love it. Please message your friends and spread the word...This will help in our efforts to raise awareness, and it will surely bring a smile to our little lady's face.
