Did you know that the GED tests are completed one module at a time? CALA instructors help you prepare for the 5 separate GED modules: Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading and Writing by providing resources, digital skills, test tips and tutoring. CALA learners are supported through in person and online classes. At CALA you learn at your own pace and book your GED module tests when you are ready! CALA has limited spots available for daytime and evening Fall GED prep. Classes are offered at not cost to adults in Colchester County who want to improve their skills. We have made our big move and are ready to receive learners for the 2020-2021 year! Our downtown location has officially moved right next door to our old classroom on Walker Street. CALA is opening a new door to learning. Classes will start October 5, 2020 and we can't wait to welcome you back! Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) physical distancing requirements, CALA is renovating to ensure all Nova Scotia Public Health safety measures for COVID are met. - Our learning center supports a lower occupancy rate with plenty of room for social distancing. - Staff will provide learning opportunities online and socially distanced when in person.... Your safety is important to us. Please note the following precautions that are in effect: - Based on current health directives, all on-site workshops and classes are by scheduled appointment times only. - Non-medical facemasks will be required at all times. - Staff will welcome you upon arrival and provide guidance for our new protocols. - Frequent cleaning and high touch surfaces disinfected frequently.
