Unique and rare, Purple tea is a natural cultivar of the Camellia Sinensis plant, producing a tea known for beautiful violet hues and high levels of antioxidants. Purple tea is grown on small family farms in the high altitude Nandi Hills region of Kenya. The intense UV exposure in this mountainous area results in tea leaves rich in anthocyanins (similar to blueberries or acai berries). And with caffeine levels that are naturally lower than those found in black or green tea, purple tea kombucha provides a gentle, refreshing and delicious lift. So How Does it Taste?
