With great joy and relief I am happy to share this The Ontario government has granted permission for groomers to resume business, for now... Yes, as of Tuesday May 19th, Ontario dog groomers are aloud to make dogs great again (don’t shoot, I just had to say that). Please take a moment to read below, a copy and paste from a previous post to resume where I left off: I am taking extra measures to keep things sanitary and safe for both myself and my clients. So I kindly ask... to please work with me and please respect these few adjustments to our normal routine. First, if you or anybody near your dog is showing signs of illness let’s just reschedule. There’s no need to sneeze on your dog then drop them off with me. Second, please stay in your vehicle when you arrive on time and shoot me a text to confirm you are here. I will pickup your dog from your vehicle and drop off your dog to your vehicle using my own leads that are constantly being disinfected. Please leave collars, harnesses and jackets etc. in your vehicle. Third, please let me know if you or a family member have fallen ill, COVID-19 or not. I would love to pray for you and support you in any way I can. Even if you just need somebody to talk to, I’m here. Please note, I am not taking on new clients at this time. However, there is a waiting list, please send me your details if you would like to be on it. Also, I’m sorry, I cannot ensure salon sanitation requirements with nails only appointments at this time.

Praying I can get to all your dogs that are in desperate need soon... I will post here when I am permitted to open and resume where I left off with curb-side service only. Please be aware I am not taking on any new clients at this time. I will do my best to get through this extensive list of consequential non-essential service casualties with love, care and utmost safety in mind. Missing you all too much.

As of April 4th, Grand River Grooming is in compliance with the current cease and desist order set in place by our elected government... Please stay safe, be mindful of where you are walking your dogs and maybe think about using your winter balloon thingies for their paws to avoid contamination while on walks in busy places. Daily warm baths with puppy shampoo might also be a good idea, remember the rinse is just as important. If you have specific questions regarding you...r dogs grooming just call me and I will do my best to walk you through it as many of you have dogs who do require regular grooming. As you know, I have setup my business/salon in such a way that I am able to safely operate by avoiding human contact, contamination and cross contamination. I can obey every law except this one being imposed upon me. This situation I cannot control, I’m sorry. If you are perplexed as I am, please consider signing the petition below. I’m trusting they will lift this cease and desist on groomers sooner than later. Lastly, have faith and do not fear! If you need a hand with anything, I’ve got plenty of time to help. If you are sick, I’ll add you to my prayer list, my Father hears my prayers. If you are down and out, let’s chat and have a laugh. You are not alone! I love all of you and I am praying for you. Remember Jesus, give him a moment of your time, his love endures forever. He holds tomorrow.

I just wanted to make a quick post to inform everybody that I am keeping things rolling here and will continue to do so as long as I and my household are not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. This is just way too funny not to share.

What’s the best part of my job? Hope this pic helps you understand why I love what I do! It’s such a simple reciprocating relationship, you give love you get love in return. What’s the hardest part of my job? Well, because of how I have this business set up, I have a lot of older dogs who don’t do well in a busy environment and that means there’s a lot of goodbyes. I have a really hard time with every goodbye. Once again I want to send a thank you and let you know how much you mean to me. Every year when we get close to Christmas, I receive so much love and appreciation from you. You choke me up, I am so blessed to serve you and be a part of such a loving community.

It’s crazy to think that 5 years ago I decided to start this business! Well, time has flown by so quickly, to sum up this whirlwind with one word it would have to be thankful. So thankful! I am so blessed. I never would have thought I would love the good the bad and the ugly side of dog grooming but I do! Okay, maybe not the unannounced expression of anal glands, that really is not lovely... I never would have dreamed of so many meaningful relationships. I am so bles...sed to be serving this community and I’m truly thankful. I only ask for one thing this Christmas, that you would remember this Loving as our community is, there are still people hurting, broken, struggling and barely hanging on. Please be extra attentive to others this Christmas season and choose to love, listen and give, even if it’s just a free hug. Sometimes it’s the little things we do for others that help them see tomorrow. As you likely know, I openly encourage everybody to know Jesus, who is the gift of hope. If you know Jesus and love him, please share your hope, make yourself available to serve this community with love, compassion and in ceaseless prayer. Merry Christmas to you all, may God bless you and your families. Please give your dogs a kiss for me.

Something about a puppies first visit...

Grand River Grooming 11.07.2020

Some dogs don't particularly enjoy getting bathed, others love it. Beau is the kind that loves getting bathed and laughs every time.

Grand River Grooming 09.07.2020

Loving them all, both big and small...

Grand River Grooming 30.06.2020

Just wanted to say thank you to the best customers a guy could ever ask for. You make the Christmas grooming madness a joy and an honor. Thanks for all the gifts, tips, cards and mostly the hugs. Hope you all felt blessed today and more abundant blessings this new year! Never to burnt out to fit my boy in.

Christmas season is right around the corner folks. This is just a reminder to book an appointment soon for your pup. Also, I will try to make your poodle look like Rudolph but I don't actually groom reindeer.
