50th Gravenhurst Winter Carnival MONDAY LINEUP Big shout out to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Demolition Derby - who are reporting their greatest turnout ever - along with the Awards, Closing Ceremony and the Fireworks display at Boston Pizza!! BUT... the fun isn't over yet! We still have one final day of fun planned for you and the WHOLE family for Family Day! ... Gravenhurst Winter Carnival 09.09.2020

Saturday Was SENSATIONAL! Skokie and friends had a BLAST all afternoon with delicious lunches being served, activities through downtown, the annual polar dip and much more! Next up we're about to shake our booty at the Winter Carnival Dance!! There will be plenty more photos to come, but here is a glimpse into some of the fun we had today under that gorgeous sunshine! ... Beds have raced.. man they were fast..but there's still time to check out so many more events and happenings. Stop by the bottle drive for Liam Brearley Snowboarder/Wakeboarder and make a donation to support our Youth Olympic Medal winner... or why not stop in at Knox Presbyterian Church for a delicious chili lunch or stop in to the Moon River Metis Centre and temp your taste buds with venison chili and a bun. Get warm at the Gravenhurst Opera House and make your own str...ess ball, build a bird feeder or enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate or stop by the Gravenhurst Public Library for family fun until 2pm. Up next GHS vs First Responder Ball Hockey Game in front of the Opera House then watch people take the plunge at GullLake st the annual Polar Bear Dip!! The sun is shining and there's lots of Carnival to come!

Gravenhurst Winter Carnival 15.07.2020

Skokie had a BLAST last night in Ryde & Gravenhurst! It was a great turn-out and energy in Ryde last night for the Open house, Winter Night Walk & Tug-Of-War. Skokie then had a ton of fun celebrating his 50th Birthday with you - and a ton of pizza! - at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre!! Capping off the evening, Skokie was invited for a special ceremonial puck drop at the final Regular Season game for the Muskoka Anglers'Junior Hockey Club. Go Anglers!! ... Winter Carnival fun is just getting started however, as today brings with it JAM PACKED day of action for the WHOLE family! We'll be kicking things off at the Gravenhurst Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the Gravenhurst Opera House at 8:00 AM. You'll also find some yummy Roasted Bannock Break. Snow Sculptures kick off at 9:00 AM at Gull Lake and the Pet Valu & Groomingdale's Gravenhurst DOGGIE DASH also begins at 9:00 AM just outside the Opera House.

Mayor Kelly and the Gravenhurst Town Crier to officially introduce the BRAND NEW Skokie and kick off the 50th Anniversary of the Inaugural Gravenhurst Winter Carnival! The Opera House is packed for the very exciting Ignite Gravenhurst 4.0! But this is only the beginning; we’ve got over 50 fantastic events planned for you in the coming days. Puddle Jumps Cancelled Hey everyone.. Skokie is incredibly sad to announce that Ontario Watercross Association has had to cancel the puddle jumps. The ice is just not where it needs to be for them to safely run the event. This is super sad, but there are still tonnes of amazing events running this weekend! So buy your button, check out the brochure and plan out all the great things to see and do!

This is it - the wait is over! The 50th Gravenhurst Winter Carnival kicks off tonight with a very special Ignite Gravenhurst speaker series at the Gravenhurst Opera House. The list of speakers can be seen below. The event is set to begin at 6:00 PM with opening remarks by Honourable Mayor Kelly. You OTTER be there!!
