Gravity friends, By now you know the drill. As of Monday March 26th, Gravity Hamilton will close temporarily due to a government mandated lockdown. All memberships that were unfrozen will be re-frozen. All memberships that were frozen will remain frozen. ... All day passes for bookings after the 26th will be refunded. We’re simplifying (or at least we’re trying) ! 1) The lead-splatter wall has been reset and more clearly colour coded. Leaders, you take priority and now you’ll hopefully know where you’re going! 2) All punch card holders can now book 7 days in advance, along with activated and unactivated members. Day pass users still have a 5 day booking window.... 3) We added another early morning climb time! Set your alarms for the city version of an alpine start you can now book for Wednesdays 6:30-8:30am!

Are the stars finally starting to align in our favour? We’re hoping that the spring, summer, and fall bring us closer to the world we remember! You’ve all been incredibly patient. We can’t begin to tell you how much we’ve missed you and want to see your faces again. We’ve made a few improvements to the space since you last visited: ... we added lots of shiny new holds, we gave the upstairs a deserved paint job, and we installed a new mat under the lead-splatter wall And here’s the even better news: Effective Monday, March 15th Gravity Hamilton will re-open under the new Red Zone protocols. Our hours will remain as they were in late 2020 (and yes, the 6.30am time slot on Thursdays will remain!) The only sad news is that, for now, we will be limited to 10 climbers per session. EFT MEMBERS Due to the anticipated difficulty in booking time slots, EFT memberships will remain on hold until our capacity is increased. Check the website for more information. Monthly EFT customers will be able to purchase Day Passes for $15.06 +hst per visit (10% off the regular Day Pass rate). EFT members can book 7 days in advance. PREPAID MEMBERS Annual, Intro One-Month and One-Month members may re-activate their memberships if they choose, however bookings will be limited to 2 sessions per week (Monday to Sunday). Supervising parents will require a day pass until our capacity has increased. Prepaid members can book 7 days in advance. PUNCH CARD HOLDERS Customers with punch cards can use them upon reopening. New Punch Cards may also be purchased. Punch Card holders can book 6 days in advance. DAY PASS USERS Payment is required on-line at the time of booking. Fees are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled or applied to future bookings. They ARE transferable; you can give or sell your spot to another climber. All Day Passes are now the same price ($16.81 + HST) for all climbers. Supervising parents require a day pass. Day Pass users can book 5 days in advance. Note: All of our COVID systems will be maintained similar to our 2020 operations. Please refer to our website for updates.

Another update? So soon after our last? Well, yes. With over 50 confirmed covid cases coming from a local fitness facility, we felt it was time to update our route climbing policy! As of October 16th, all climbers must wear masks while climbing. Between now and then, treat this time as training! Get used to the feeling of masked climbing!... Hello guys, gals, & nonbinary pals: With the rising case count & the changes to Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa, we felt it was time to remind and update you on our covid-related policies. 1. Wear your mask! As of Monday October 12th, if your mask/face covering does not meet Gravity's requirements you will be asked to either purchase a suitable mask or return another day.... 2. Leave space! If you need a reference, leave at least 3 raccoons worth! 3. Respect your booking! Don't double book - this goes for both types of climbing AND time slots. If you want to stay longer, ask the staff during your first booking if there's space in the next OR book online during the 15 minute cleaning period. Keep in mind we need you out the door by the end of your booked time so that staff can clean, so please do not start another climb if there's 5 or fewer minutes left. 4. Cancellations. Each spot you book is a spot another climber cannot book; if you're going to cancel please cancel early so someone can take your spot! You can cancel right up until the second the booking starts if you use the app or cancel via your online profile. If you call or email the gym, staff will not process your cancellation 30 mins before or after booking start times - they're busy! Be mindful that if you cancel or no show repeatedly, a $10 fee per missed booking may apply. 5. Everyone in the facility counts towards our max capacity. We're limiting non-climbing non-belaying spectators to ensure there's space for folks who want to climb! If you are supervising your kids, note 1 supervising parent max is permitted per 2 children. All other spectators must book a spot and pay for a $10 spectating pass. 6. We want to keep seeing you so... wash your hands! There's sanitizer throughout the gym and liquid chalk (70% alcohol) for sale. Clean your hands before, during, and after your session. -- Thanks for reading! The entire Gravity Team has had an amazing bouldering season. This weekend eight of our athletes went to Vancouver for Youth Bouldering Nationals! Congratulations to Riley with her 2nd place podium finish! And Reid, Mateja and Yinki all made it to finals and finished 5th in the nation in their categories. Amazing work!

Nine Gravity athletes qualified for nationals, and after two gruelling days 4 have made it to tomorrow’s finals! Good luck, Yinki, Riley, Mateja & Reid!

We've got good news, we've got bad news, and we've got good news . . . We like our Flashed matting in our Niagara location so much, we've decided to install the same system upstairs in Hamilton! Yay! This does mean that upstairs will be closed from January 20th to 25th. Boo.... All Hamilton members will get a corresponding extension to their membership AND have free access to Niagara during the installation. Yay!

Now those are some clean holds! Moon board should be ready to go by 5 PM . . .
