We are delighted to announce that Caroline Ravazzolo, our Coach Operations Manager, has been elected to the OMCA (Ontario Motor Coach Association) Board of Directors. Caroline is breaking ground as the first female motor coach operator on OMCA's board. Caroline has over 20 years of experience with Great Canadian and has become one of the motor coach industry’s most highly respected and knowledgeable professionals. She brings her expertise of our industry and a spirit of innovation to the OMCA board, and she'll undoubtedly be an invaluable asset to the association. Congratulations Caroline!
On Remembrance Day, we pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country in times of war and conflict, and we honour their sacrifice. Lest We Forget.

Montreal is a popular spot for artists, and there's no shortage of colourful murals throughout the city. We can't wait to see them in person again soon!
My Canada Project, a personal initiative of Lorna Hundt, CEO of Great Canadian Holidays, was presented to grade 8 students of the Waterloo Region District School Board. It challenged them to write an essay on what Canada means to them; what they love about Canada, what makes them proud to be Canadian, and what we could do better. The results were outstanding. In Lorna’s words, I feel optimistic for the future of our country with young people like this taking the helm down th...e road. The winners were Jocelyn Dunnette (first), Klara Stjarne (second) and Matthew Hergott (third). Winners received prizes of $1000/$500/$250 respectively, and a donation of $550.00 was made to Nutrition for Learning to commemorate their winning essays. Here are some photos of the socially-distanced awards presentation, held in Kitchener on July 3. Congratulations Jocelyn, Klara and Matthew! Photos by Kevin Tupman Photography
Happy Canada Day, everyone!
Take a "couch tour" today to Casa Loma, and explore this popular Toronto landmark on a virtual tour. Built in 1914, this Gothic Revival style mansion features secret passageways, elaborately decorated rooms, priceless works of art and stunning gardens. It's no wonder Casa Loma is a popular filming location for movies and TV! https://casaloma.ca/experience-the-castle/

Victoria is another one of our many favourite places to visit, and we can't wait to go back! Explore British Columbia's beautiful capital city on a virtual visit at the link below, and be sure to check out The Butchart Gardens!
On this day in 1987, celebrated Canadian Paralympian Rick Hansen completed his Man in Motion World Tour in Vancouver, after spending two gruelling years travelling the globe by wheelchair to raise awareness for spinal cord injuries. Learn more about this true Canadian hero and The Rick Hansen Foundation at rickhansen.com.
Today's "couch tour" takes us just outside Ottawa to the Diefenbunker, now home to Canada's Cold War Museum. Built in secrecy between 1959 and 1961, this massive four-story underground bunker was to provide top Canadian officials shelter in the event of a nuclear war. Visit the link to take a virtual tour of the museum, and be sure to check out the Bank of Canada vault! https://diefenbunker.ca/virtualtours/
Prince Edward Island is another favourite place to travel, home of the "bright red mud", Green Gables, fantastic seafood and friendly locals. Share your favourite pictures of the island in the comments below!
