Stop by our farm or our website www.GreenCorners.ca to check out our bulbs. After Sunday, the tulip bulbs will be planted in our U-Pick field for you to enjoy in the spring!

Green Corners Farm 12.11.2020

Imagine what this will look like in the spring! Each of these beds is planted with about 600 tulip bulbs and there are 8 beds! In this bed we planted the Rembrandt blend tulips from the Canadian Tulip Festival - Festival canadien des tulipes! We will only be selling bulbs until next week Sunday, November 8, so buy your bulbs soon if you are still looking to plant them! Bulbs can be purchased at our farm or on our website www.GreenCorners.ca for farm pick up.

Green Corners Farm 30.10.2020

The tulip bulbs have arrived! We are so excited that this delivery means we will have beautiful fields again in the spring and your garden can have some spring beauty too! Bulbs are for sale through our website GreenCorners.ca and we have added a few more options to choose from. They are ready for pick up at our farm, but should be planted around the Thanksgiving weekend.

Green Corners Farm 23.09.2020

Our tulip bulbs will be arriving next week! They were packed and ready to go, but were delayed due to Hurricane Teddy hitting PEI, where most of our bulbs come from. Now that the hurricane has passed, we expect the bulbs to arrive next week! We hope everyone was able to weather the storm safely! Vanco Farms Ltd

The best time to plant a tulip bulb is when the soil temperature is less than 12 degrees. A good rule of thumb is after a few good hard frosts, which is around Thanksgiving. Plant the bulbs in well drained soil, in direct sunlight, and approximately 6 inches deep. We provide bone meal with each order of bulbs to help your tulips grow best. Pictured here is a "Big Gift" tulip, bulbs of which are available on our website. Photo by Christina Stapper Photography

Green Corners Farm 11.09.2020

Head to our website to pre-order your bulbs to plant around the Thanksgiving weekend! These bulbs are grown on Prince Edward Island and are tried and tested for the Canadian climate. Each package will come with bonemeal to help your bulbs grow. Featured here, is the lavender coloured tulip, Abegweit.

Green Corners Farm has tulip bulbs available for pre-order! Head to our website to purchase the bulbs for the most popular tulip varieties from our field! The bulbs will be available for pick up towards the end of September, but the best time to plant them will be around Thanksgiving. Each package will come with bonemeal to give your bulbs a kickstart in the spring. Pictured here is the Washington variety, one of the varieties of bulbs available for pre-order.

We are busy constructing more gardens for next spring! Arbours and walkways will lead you through plants in springtime bloom. Photo opportunities will abound!

Green Corners Farm 05.08.2020

We are now closed for the season! Thanks for a fantastic first year! The cold spring followed by the hot weather was terrible for the tulips, but we were blown away by how excited you all were to pick your own tulips! We will be back next year with more tulips and more photo opportunities!

Green Corners Farm 16.07.2020

Today is the last day to come pick your own tulips! We highly suggest that you purchase a ticket ahead of time on our website as we may sell out during peak times. We don't want anyone to be disappointed if we have to turn people away. We are limiting numbers to avoid congestion to promote physical distancing. Photo by Christina Stapper Photography

Green Corners Farm 27.06.2020

Only 2 days left to come pick your own tulips! We have started to let people pick 20 tulips instead of the usual 10 that come with the purchase of a general admission ticket, and kids can pick 5 orange tulips. The tulips are fantastic for photos, but will only last 4-5 days in a bouquet as opposed to 7 days as they would have earlier in the season. Tickets should be purchased on our website at GreenCorners.ca

Green Corners Farm 25.06.2020

Only 3 days left in the season! Our last day open will be Saturday, May 30. The heat is just so so so hot and the tulips do not like it. The tulips that are picked now will probably only last 5-7 days as opposed to a week or more as they would have earlier in the season.

Green Corners Farm 07.06.2020

Are you searching for a job this summer? We are looking for someone with gardening and landscaping experience to help us create our gardens! For more information, head to our website GreenCorners.ca

Green Corners Farm 18.05.2020

During this time of social distancing, it is important to remember it is not a time of social isolation. Make sure you check in with your buds! These tulips won't be up for much longer because they do not like this heat! Come pick your own tulips before we close for the season on Saturday, May 30.

Green Corners Farm 28.04.2020

The tulips are in full bloom! This makes for fantastic photos, but not for long lasting bouquets. This hot weather has made the tulips bloom quicker than we expected. We anticipate that this Saturday, May 30th, will be our last day for picking your own tulips and today will be our last day to order curbside pick up. If you are hoping to pick your own tulips it would be best if you came sooner rather than later! Tickets should be purchased online at GreenCorners.ca

Green Corners Farm 23.04.2020

Today is a great day for tulips! A little bit cloudy so the colours seem brighter, a little bit windy to keep the bugs away, and less busy to get better photos and easily maintain social distancing! If you are looking for an activity to get out of the house, picking your own tulips is it! We are open 9-5 for u-pick and 5-7 for curbside pick up. Tickets can be purchased online at GreenCorners.ca or stop by anytime during the week as we do not anticipate we will be at capacity on a weekday.

What does 100,000 #Liberation75 tulips look like? This! We think we have the largest plot of these tulips in Canada. They were planted in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands in WWII. Photo by Christina Stapper Photography

We are often asked if the bulbs that sometimes get pulled out when you pick a tulip can be replanted. If these bulbs are replanted, they will not produce a flower for several years, if at all, as it needs the leaves to replenish it's energy. In addition, the bulbs that are pulled up disturb the root systems of the surrounding tulips and cause them to die. This is why we do not allow shovels or digging in the field. Green Corners Farm 12.03.2020

Wow! We have been blown away on this windy day by how much interest there is in pick your own tulips! We had a lot of drop ins today, but we were not at capacity so we could manage. However we want to promote social distancing as much as we can, and some of the ways we do this is by doing online orders and timed tickets. By purchasing online, you ensure that when you arrive there will be room in the field for you to practice safe social distancing. Timed tickets can be purchased on our website GreenCorners.ca

Green Corners Farm 03.03.2020

Looks like it will be a great weekend to be outside! We still have spots available if you would like to stop by for tulips! Tickets should be purchased online at our website. You can arrive anytime within the time frame of your ticket. Photo by Christina Stapper Photography
