Hey, just to let you know we are open all weekend including Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 ~ thanksgiving day from 9AM to 7PM. Then we will close for the season til May 2021. It’s suppose to be a beautiful weekend ~ we hope to see you out!

Just an FYI if you see this sweet chick hanging around the bathrooms don’t be surprised ~ it’s one of her favourite spots. She is super friendly and loves attention If you take her picture please post it in the comments section

Masks are mandatory in Chatham Kent in ALL indoor spaces ~ this includes any indoor areas of the zoo such as bathrooms, gift shop, takeout area of the restaurant and any buildings/barns with exhibits. Some exceptions do apply - for example children age 9 and under are not required but it is recommended they wear a mask. Important announcement as of Friday, August 14, 2020 Chatham Kent ~ mandatory mask policy in all public INDOOR spaces!!! Stay tuned for further details as we await direction from the Chatham Kent Public Health Unit.

This announcement is brought to you by these three cute posers!!!! Here are some Q&As we are reposting that might be helpful.... Are visitors required to wear masks?... No ~ wear a mask at your own discretion. Is the restaurant open? Yes it is. However keep in mind it’s for takeout only and be patient if there is a short wait with this process. If it’s too big of a line up to order we may ask people to come back at a later time ~ keep in mind we’re trying to avoid large groups of people conglomerating in one space. Are the washrooms open? Yes these will be available to our customers with limited numbers of people utilizing at one time, signage will be posted. Be patient if you find them closed for 5 to 10 minutes for cleaning. Are the wagons available to rent? Yes - we’ve been given the go ahead to rent wagons!!! What other COVID precautions are in place? An employee will screen each car at the gate. We ask that you practice social distancing keeping 2 m or 6 feet apart from others not visiting with you. Wash your hands and sanitize them often. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will be available throughout the zoo for your use. Can we purchase food for the animals or bring our own treats for them? You can do both. Will there be picnic tables available? Yes and keep in mind there’s lots of green space so bringing your own blanket for a picnic might be a nice idea as well. How many visitors allowed in the park? Due to the size of our zoos property we don’t anticipate having to cap our attendance. We apologize in advanced for any wait times ~ please be patient as we navigate these challenges times. Do you take cash, credit or debit? We take all three. We continue to work with our local public health to ensure everyone’s safety during these uncertain times. The splash pad and playground are open too ~ please help your children to practice social distancing and proper hand washing. Do your part, and have a spectacular and safe day

Did you know that flamingos get their pink colouring from beta carotene, a red-orange pigment that's found in high numbers within the algae, larvae, and shrimp that they eat. We special order their diet to maintain their beautiful pink colour. They also love to play and walk through the mud then splash around in their pool. Such a beautiful bird, that you have the opportunity to view at our zoo!

Please note prices for entrance to Greenview are as follows: We had considered raising prices this season however with our late opening and no access to the splash pad or playground the 2019 prices will remain in effect at this time. Adults (ages 16-65) - $15.00 Seniors (ages 65+) - $13.00 Children (ages 4-15) - $11.00 ... 3 and Under are FREE OPEN daily thru to Thanksgiving 9AM - 8PM Please no negative comments ~ we are like every other business that has taken a hit from COVID-19. Our hope is that you can visit and enjoy yourselves while social distancing, hand washing/hand sanitizing often and follow the simple guidelines you come across while hanging out with us. Your business and support is appreciated. Please also be patient as we navigate through new processes related to COVID-19 Our opening date is ~ Thursday, June 18, 2020.

Well baby goats have started to arrive - and I’m sure they will be missing all our great visitors. However just want everyone to know we are happy and healthy. A big thank you to sweet Kolton who used his birthday money and dropped off some bags of apples last week - such a nice surprise and a great treat!

Just letting all of our friends know that we are doing ok, being well cared for, fed and loved. We are a wee bit disappointed not knowing what the future holds for opening but please know that we miss you and will be waiting for the day when we can open the gates in the most safest and responsible means possible. Promise I will let our owners/care takers know to post updates and any new baby pics in the next few weeks!!!! Take care and be safe

Our zoo we call Greenview Aviaries was once just a small vision of a brilliant man Allen Greenway. This year we celebrate 36 years. Unfortunately that man who had that vision passed away several years ago. He was a man of few words but when he talked you listened, he was brilliant and he was interesting. This Father’s Day I would like to send extra hugs to heaven for this man who took on the Daly family of six when he married Mary Ellen, not only did he share his vision he i...nspired us to think outside the box, and to be diligent and work hard.
