The Landlord’s Right of Entry into a Rental Unit A tenant has the right to possession and reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit. A landlord has the right to enter the rental unit in certain circumstances when the landlord follows the procedures set out in the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 (the RTA).... One landlord has waited 8 months for a hearing, while tenants haven't paid rent The months-long wait for a hearing date with the Landlord and Tenant Board has left him fed up and frustrated.
