Have you called an elderly friend or family member today? With the current lock-down in place, the experience of loneliness and isolation is even more prevalent in our elderly population. Read more about the importance of calling an elderly loved one.
We agree that understanding the roots of discrimination is fundamental, but Pritchard is clearly unaware of history's darkest moments when people failed to reco...gnize other human beings as persons and, therefore, as equals. Today, there exists a deliberate refusal to recognize the child in the womb despite the scientific reality that a human being exists from the moment of fertilization. #Abortion proponents continue to perpetuate this discrimination, all the while displaying their intolerance for those with a different view. It's hard to ignore the violent killing of over 4.5 million Canadian pre-born children, at any stage of their development. #AbortionIsNOTHealthcare. It's the slaughter of the innocent and the ultimate exploitation of women! https://thecord.ca/rage-donations-given-to-shore-centre/ See more
It's so great to see local projects like this happening in our community!
Haven Greyson Smith was born at 25 weeks gestation, has battled COVID-19 and is now 2 years old. When given proper medical care, babies as young as 21 weeks have the ability to survive outside of the womb. Despite this, abortion is legal in Canada for all 9 months of pregnancy, meaning that this little human being could have been aborted if he was still in utero.
A recent study shows evidence that abortion increases a woman’s risk of developing postpartum mental health issues in subsequent pregnancies that she carries to term. Read more here: https://www.liveaction.org//study-post-abortive-mental-h/
Keep up to date on local pro-life issues and events by signing up to our email list! Our weekly updates can help you stay informed on the issues of abortion and euthanasia, and have a look at what we've been up to: http://guelphforlife.com/getinvolved.html
"I have no other reason to want to apply for assisted suicide, other than I simply cannot afford to keep on living." A new article in Maclean's highlights the stories of Canadians with disabilities who seek out euthanasia because of a lack of support. Instead of seeing more support to live, we're seeing euthanasia access expand with Bill C-7, which would open it to people with no terminal illness. https://www.macleans.ca/opinion/dying-for-the-right-to-live/
We're looking ahead to February 17th, when the 40 Days for Life 'spring' campaign will be starting here in Guelph! Would you like to help encourage your church community to get involved? Now's the time to start planning! Email [email protected] for more information.
Euthanasia bill C-7 is being studied by the justice committee, and so far they have only included witnesses from pro-euthanasia groups. Here's how you can ask them to hear from pro-life voices as well at this critical time:
When women are considering a medical procedure, they deserve to be informed. What are the risks of the abortion pill?
