Hello Grandview and area, GVLC is participating in the town-wide garage sale this Saturday, August 22 from 9:00-12:00 or whenever we sell out! We are opening up our doors to clear out shelving and make way for renovations. We have several steel shop shelves in good condition ($50-100); most are already on pallets and we can help with a forklift next week to get them on a truck or flat deck. We also have a massive hoist frame in the back lot. It is in good condition other than a wood plank or two that need replacing. Asking $2000 or best offer, purchaser must figure out a way to load and remove it from the lot.

Good morning Grandview! Thanks to Maggie for the glorious sunrise photo. We wish we could be doing more to help during this pandemic - big hat tip to all our distillery and brewery colleagues that are making hand sanitizer - but it is slow and steady on the regulation and renovation front. Just a sneak peak of the before and after (middle? definitely not done yet) for the reception area: furniture all coming out, and floor getting scraped down. Plans for the garage are in ...the works, and hopefully once the snow is all gone permanently we will see some serious action! In the meantime, we are looking for some inexpensive used appliances in the area. Please message or email us [[email protected]] if you are willing to sell, barter, or donate any of the following (we can come and pick up in a socially-distanced responsible manner!): --fridge(s), either full-sized or bar --freezer --microwave --coffee maker --water cooler, dispenser, filter, etc. Thanks! First walk home from GVLC! Merry Christmas to all!!!

MAJOR NEWS: After many lengthy delays, constant surprises, shifting of plans, and rollercoasters of emotion, a new day dawns for the Grand Vieux Liquor Company. We have successfully acquired the Manitoba Hydro Service Center at 117 Government Road East in Grandview and are rolling full steam ahead toward production in 2020. We are also in talks with a professional chef to lease out the office space as a restaurant, lounge, and tasting room. There is still much work to be do...ne and many sleepless nights ahead. The work space will need to be renovated to meet fire safety and food production code. Meetings are ongoing among the partners regarding initial products, price points, marketing avenues, and a firm launch date. The goal is to be on the shelf by fall 2020, assuming all production and regulatory checks line up perfectly, but after the last two years we realize that in this industry almost nothing goes as planned! In the next few weeks, the good citizens of Grandview will be receiving notice of a hearing for our Conditional Use Permit, similar to two years ago. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns leading up to the date, please reach out to us and we will do our best to assuage any fears and explain our intentions. We are incredibly pleased to be able to use this iconic Grandview building for new and innovative purposes, and to continue with our dream of liquor production in our hometown. This holiday season, we will be raising our glasses in a more meaningful manner than ever before to new beginnings and new opportunities in 2020. Cheers!
