Merry Orthodox Christmas . Today I honour my Ukrainian heritage because all 4 of my grandparents were forced to make a choice to flee their homeland from terror in the early 1920's. Their choice must have not have been easy, but I am thoroughly grateful for their sacrifice . They were so proud of where they came from and one of my favourite holidays growing up was Christmas. There were no presents, simply tradition. Today I am trying to replicate that emotion for my childr...en by cooking up a storm and honouring those who came before us!
