Unfortunately, it was announced today that there is confirmed community spread of the coronavirus in our city. For our students safety, we are going to go back into bubbles with a new schedule starting on Monday. Our current schedule will continue until Monday. Please continue to follow our Covid protocols All Kids Programs are cancelled until further notice. All of the kids memberships will be frozen until training resumes.If you would like your membership to be paused, ...or have any other concerns, please feel free to send us an email at [email protected] We will release more information about bubbles soon. Please understand that the situation is changing everyday and rest assured we are doing everything we can to allow you to train safely. Please take a close look at the schedule and email us with your preferred bubble, (first and second choice.). Every effort will be made to get you your first choice, but please understand there is limited spacing. Thanks for understanding.

With the news of possible exposures in our city we must all remain vigilant and use extreme caution while out and about. If you have been to any of the locations listed as possible exposure sites, please stay home and monitor for symptoms after contacting us to put your membership on hold. If you feel uncomfortable training at this time, please contact us, we don’t mind putting your membership on hold until you feel comfortable again. ... We are very fortunate to be able to train at the gym during this pandemic but we require every member to focus on protecting each other from possible exposure until the vaccine is distributed. Please make every effort to follow our guidelines. Wash your hands often. Remembrance Day Schedule Change for Wednesday, November 11th. In order to take the time to give thanks to those who died in the line of duty, all regularly scheduled classes will be cancelled and replaced by one Open Mat in the GI at 12:00 Noon. As you know we are very serious about abiding by the current Health and Safety standards set forth by the government of NS to stop the spread of Covid-19. ... Please review and abide by the following rules and regulations we have put in place at the club. -Please review the screening questions before EVERY class. If you say YES to any of the questions contact 811 and an Instructor immediately. DO NOT visit the gym. - Masks are to be worn at all times when entering and leaving the gym. This includes children. - You may only remove your mask once you are on the mats ready to train. - Please use the hand sanitizer provided at the front before using the iPad to check in. -You must check in on the iPad before every class. - If you are not signing in for a class you must sign the guestbook with your name and phone number. - If using the washroom please clean all surfaces you came in contact with using the cleaning wipes provided. (Do not flush paper towel or cleaning wipes.) - A MAXIMUM of 10 people are allowed in our waiting area. We will be enforcing this strictly in the future even during kids class. This may mean some parents will have to wait in their cars. - If you are training and you have a guest/child in the waiting area please clean the couches and chairs with a sanitizing wipe after. - Do not come to the gym if you are feeling unwell. - Do not come to the gym if you are living with someone who is self isolating or is waiting for the results of a Covid test. Halifax BJJ is a community Not for Profit that exists because of its members. We ask that you respect the gym and its members by cleaning up after yourself and maintaining a clean, safe, healthy training environment. Unfortunately, it has been decided that due to current regulations, we will not be hosting the Pay Per View Event this weekend. We are sorry for this disruption. Please order the PPV online at www.fightleagueatlantic.com to support the event. Also, due to rising cases in our neighbouring province, we are adding a temporary restriction to students traveling to and from New Brunswick at this time. If you or someone in your family, workplace or personal bubble are returning from... New Brunswick in the coming days, please take two weeks off before returning to training. We will freeze your membership for this period free of charge. If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out to us. Thanks for understanding team. Cold and Flu season is upon us, just as we are in the middle of a global pandemic. We should be very grateful that we are in Nova Scotia where the case numbers are under control, but we should not let our guard down. If you are feeling unwell, contact the Society by phone or email and we will put your membership on hold until you are feeling better / have been cleared by medical personnel. Masks on until you are dressed and on the mats. Upon entry of the facility, use the ...hand sanitizer at the door before checking in. Use the guestbook to sign in if you are not checking in to participate in class. We will use this information for contact tracing in the event of an outbreak. If you are feeling unwell or answer yes to any of the screening questions below, please stay home and call 811. Do not enter our facility if you answer yes to any of the following pre-screening questions: Screening questions: 1. Do you have current symptoms of COVID-19, such as: a. a fever, b. a new or changed chronic cough, c. a sore throat that is not related to a known or preexisting condition d. a runny nose that is not related to a known or preexisting condition e. nasal congestion that is not related to a known or preexisting condition f. shortness of breath that is not related to a known or preexisting condition 2. Have you traveled outside of The Atlantic Bubble within the last 14 days? 3. Have you had unprotected close contact with individuals who have a confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 (e.g. individuals exposed without appropriate PPE in use).
