From Brittany Oram, executive chef at Tavola restaurant in St John’s, the recipe uses simple ingredients, and the soup is puréed and easy to swallow if you have a sore mouth or throat. We would like to thank our Team CIBC participants for their amazing contribution to the success of the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure in Halifax. Did you know the Atlantic Team CIBC had 348 registered participants and raised $78,230 to date? Thank you so much to our Team CIBC participants, volunteers and donors for your continued support for breast cancer research and support services.

A big congrats to Team The Bluenosers - (Fleetway Inc.) for winning the Corporate Spirit Team Award in Halifax! Your team’s dedication is so appreciated and truly makes a difference. They raised $4,223.70!! Their team captain, Glenn Landry, shared the reason why they run: The Canadian Cancer Society is Fleetway’s charity of choice. We try to support as many CCS events whenever we can. The Run for the Cure is one of our most valued.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Local Run Day Prizes for the CIBC Run for the Cure in Halifax. Congratulations to Pixi, the winner of the Pinkest Pet award. Pixi’s owner is the recipient of a 50$ gift card for Pet Smart! For the Hope Participant Prize, we have made the draw and have reached out to the winner. They will receive a CIBC Run for the Cure tumbler and hat, and a pair of purple fleece lined mittens!

A huge thank you to our CIBC Run for the Cure Halifax sponsor @Sobeys for their generosity in making our Run for the Cure event a success today. Although we missed seeing you in person this year, your support will be felt all year long as we support Atlantic Canadians living with breast cancer and their families.

AMAZING!! This year, as a collective of Canadians who are a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer, the Run participants in Halifax travelled a total of 1,402 km for the CIBC Run for the Cure!!
