Keep in mind the following policies when booking or coming for an appointment:... - Doors will be locked at all times to reduce crowding in the office, if you are there for an appointment, please call (289)755-2568 to let reception know you are there and we will welcome you in. If you do not have an appointment and would like one, please call and we will be able to book an appointment over the phone - Patients will be screened for COVID-19 prior to booking of appointments, and temperature will be taken using an infrared touchless thermometer before entry into the office - We are currently not booking patients who screen positive for COVID-19 and will refer you to your medical doctors for a test prior to booking your appointment - Appointments will only be made over the phone to limit contact - Only children can be accompanied into the office by a parent or legal guardian for their appointment (although exceptions can be made, please speak to reception prior to booking the appointment). - Masks must be worn in the office at all times - Sanitize hands thoroughly prior to checking in at front desk and avoid touching face and belongings while you are in the office We have been calling back all patients with cancelled appointments due to COVID-19. This is very important to know! The best thing to do if a tooth gets knocked out is to make sure it’s clean and then place it back where it came out from. If you cannot replant the tooth, make sure it’s clean and place it in a bag of milk. Never handle the tooth by the root structure to eliminate contamination. Next step is to call one of our offices so we can help you try to keep your tooth

Today I'd like to discuss something that is VERY close to my heart... NEGLECT OF A CHILD'S TEETH... By definition, dental neglect is the willful failure of a pa...rent or guardian to seek and follow through with treatment necessary to ensure a level of oral health essential for adequate function and freedom from pain and infection Neglect of a child's oral health can lead to pain, poor growth and impaired quality of life. I use the word NEGLECT because that is essentially what it boils down to. A parent has to help their child brush their teeth until age seven when they can take over. Then it becomes the parent's job to watch that they are brushing correctly and for long enough. Kids do not understand why they need to brush their teeth and they don't understand why they have to have teeth pulled out. I urge all parents to be mindful of their children's teeth and to make sure that you do not neglect them... Just as parents are scared their children might experience pain at the dentist, I can assure you we, as dentists, also don't enjoy it either.

Sometimes we get stuck with a dilemma, to eat fruits good for our body or to avoid them for healthy teeth?
