HOW TO RESTORE YOUR EXTERIOR SIDING FOR A BRAND-NEW LOOK: Under the blistering exposure to sun, frequent soakings by rain, and radical Canadian temperature shifts, the paint that covers your exterior siding and trim surfaces face some of the most challenging conditions possible. You may notice that your exterior siding and trim are experiencing many common paint problems such as peeling, chalking, and mildew. To renew your siding for a fresh, brand-new look there are a series... of steps we would take. First, we would start with a TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) wash that will rid your siding of any chalk and dirt. Once the surface is dry we assess its condition; looking for areas where the paint has completely deteriorated. Where need be, we would scrape and sand the area and then apply a primer. Next, we would apply Dulux Diamond exterior paint leaving you with a fresh exterior that will last many years. MESSAGE US OR CALL 905-962-6515 FOR YOUR FREE ESTIMATE! HOW TO RESTORE YOUR GRAYING FENCE OR DECK FOR A NATURAL LOOK: If your fence/deck has been bare and unprotected for a number of years, I'm sure you are starting to see the effects of weathering on this wood. Graying and discoloration can become quite the eyesore to your home. Bare wood is at the risk of breaking down at a much more exponential rate than if it is protected by stain. The cost of replacing this wood is much higher than the cost of protecting it every few years.... Most homeowners try to solve this problem with pressure washing. Often this technique can effectively clean wood surfaces but there is also the risk of it ruining your deck or fence if it's not used properly. If used with too much jet pressure or too close to the surface, it can break down your wood and cause splinters to come to the surface. One way I like to tackle this problem in my business is by using a brightening and restoring solution. We scrub this product onto the wood's surface and let it sit until the desired result appears. This not only improves stain penetration by opening the wood's pores but it also helps to prolong the life of your deck by removing stains from mold, mildew, and algae - which will further break down your wood over time. We then wash off the remaining solution with a low-pressure hose, let the deck dry and then sand away any imperfections. Once the deck is completely dry is when the deck is ready for staining; this way the stain can fully penetrate and soak into the wood. Apply your semi-transparent stain and enjoy your renewed deck or fence.
