Hamilton Police have identified the human remains found in Windermere Basin Park as Jammar Allison of Toronto. Jammar was kidnapped from a Toronto parking lot in June 2018. Theft from auto occurrences hit a five-year high in #HamOnt, especially within Division 1 this past August. In response to this emerging crime trend, POP Project Souvenir was implemented between September and October to address heavily targeted areas and habitual offenders. The areas focused on were selected based on concurrent and historical analytical theft from auto data. Crime prevention measures, increased proactive activity, and offender focused initiatives were comple...ted. Hamilton Police have charged 30-year-old Devon Ambrose after a domestic incident at a residence on West 31st Street in Hamilton. On Friday, November 13, 2020, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a call for a domestic disturbance between a couple and their son. When officers arrived, they found Catherine Ambrose and Peter Ambrose, both 63-years-old, suffering from stab wounds. Hamilton Police have arrested a 30-year-old male after an incident involving other individuals in his family within their residence near Upper Paradise and Bendamere Avenue in Hamilton. On Friday, November 13, 2020, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a call for a disturbance. Hamilton Police lay additional charges on Keith Overholt for the murder of Andrew Ainscow and attempted murder of a 39-year-old male. Overholt was also charged with attempted murder in the attack of a 46-year-old female on Nov 9. Overholt is expected to be arraigned on these new charges when he appears in court on November 19, 2020 at the John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton. Overholt was arrested by Hamilton Police shortly after the attack on the 39-year-male. No other suspects are sought in the case

Did you see anything? Police believe a male leaving the area after Michael Gallo was killed is now a suspect. He was almost hit by a car crossing Main St W at Haddon St at 8:20 p.m. on October 1. He was wearing a gray hoodie with black sleeves, with the hood pulled up over his head. He was also wearing a blue surgical mask and is described as slender, 5'9. Class is back in session for Citizens Police College as this years program moves online. Since its inception in 1997, thousands of citizens have participated in Citizens Police College. The free program, which is designed for individuals interested in learning more about policing, begins on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, and runs every Wednesday for six weeks. Each class begins at 6:00 p.m. and offers interactive presentations on a variety of topics such as traffic safety, victim services, homicide and forensics. Students will also be given access to videos highlighting Hamilton Police Service specialized units. Detectives believe a stolen Audi sedan was involved in the shooting incident that occurred outside an Elgar Avenue residence. The vehicle was reported stolen prior to the shooting and it remains outstanding. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Hamilton Police have issued an Arrest Warrant for 18-year-old Christopher Mitchell. He was involved in a shooting while staying at a Hamilton short-term rental. Mitchell is considered armed and dangerous. Please exercise caution and call 911 if you see him.
