FINALLY After almost a FULL year of not being able to help in the South, we FINALLY were able to arrange a transport that allows everyone to stay safe and not have to quarantine!!! This Saturday we will welcome 7 Georgian dogs that would have otherwise met their demise. Our relationship with our dear friends at Diamonds In The Ruff - South GA is something we hold near and dear. They are the frontline rescuers that make sure these babies get to safety and they are their voic...e in a state that doesn’t view pet ownership like we do. These dogs are often discarded, or left on the end of a heavy chain or often meet their death. Without our help and YOUR help, we wouldn’t be able to save these very deserving souls So as most of you know, our funds have depleted significantly during COVID due to lack of donations, fundraising and adoptions. We have a sanctuary program, and all of those dogs continue to need care......so a lot of it falls on our shoulders. But here is where YOU can help!!!!! SPONSOR A DOG You can sponsor one of our incoming dogs by either covering their crate cost or a box of Revolution for them. It’s imperative that they all stay on prevention for a full year after we get them due to the high instance of heartworm disease. There is a bonus video in the comments!... Hi there its Cassius here! I'm back at Hank's through no fault of mine. I know I am not a Unicorn dog but I am a very loving and loyal guy . I am going to start right off by saying that I have decided that I need a rural area without too much hustle and bustle to distract me. I get called Cash for short. I am a very goofy, lovable 2 year old guy and about 45 lbs! I am a chatty guy who will let you know I am upset, not getting my own way or trying to guilt you as you are going out the door . I am housetrained, up to date on my shots and neutered. I sleep in my crate at night but I would love to sleep in your bed. One of my funny quirks is that I like to put my nose under a blanket. I am crate trained but I am a bit anxious in there as I do have separation anxiety that I am working on. I love, love, love bones and I also like stuffies and ropes. I know sit, down, stay and my recall in the yard is pretty good. I will bark at strangers in the house (I am letting you know what's going on) but I warm up quickly. Now when I am on the leash I am a different guy and am reactive to people and dogs. I need a strong leader who will continue to work with me on my leash manners. I do require a good walk or play in the yard to get rid of my energy so I can sleep. Due to my reactivity to other dogs I need to be the only pet please. No exceptions not even birds ( too tempting). I have no resource guarding or food aggression. Speaking of food I do have allergies and was very itchy and red when I arrived at my Fosters house. They adjusted my raw diet and wow what a difference! I am no longer itchy and the red/pink is fading. I feel so much better. My adoptive family needs to be aware of my allergies. I travel well in the car. I am a bit of a stubborn guy but I am very loving and look forward my forever home. If you think you can be my strong leader pls apply at www.hankshaven.ca

WARNING : GRAPHIC PHOTO Coco had the 1st part of her surgeries on Friday. She had a full dental and tooth extraction. She is now toofless, and a partial masectomy. She will go back for the other side of her masectomy in 4 weeks. Their ended up being a blood vessel attached to a back tooth and when it was lacerated she started to bleed ALOT. Her neck swelled up and restricted her breathing. Because she became critical, they kept her an extra night & day. ... This little lady just went through probably the biggest and most painful thing in her life, but she will feel SOOOO much better now!!!!!! Hopefully one day, they won’t suffer at all Keep her in your healing thoughts and prayers . She has a ways to go for recovery, but we can already tell that she is happier Our auction ends TONIGHT!!!!! We need the funds to pay for this surgery and her upcoming one in 4 weeks.
