Last minute finishing touches before our client sees it for the first time!

Finally have time to post probably our last behind the scene update for this one bedroom condo as we have been rushing to get it ready by mid January. The wallpaper from @Thibaut arrived just in time and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Meanwhile, our contractor is wiring the lights and putting the door handles on the wall unit. It’s coming together very nicely.

May 2021 be filled with new beginnings. Happy New Year!

It took them one whole day to assemble the custom wall unit. A big thank you to Alex and Marat of Komandor Vancouver for getting it done so beautifully!

Installation day is the most exciting day for us. After our warehouse delivered all the stored items, it’s time to unpack all the boxes, assemble the furniture, set them up, and last but not least, remove all the packages. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also very rewarding! We are still hoping to get most things done before the holidays.

Because we specialise in small spaces, we often include a sofa bed sleeper in all of our projects. Here is one that is super comfortable and opens and closes efforlessly! This is not your grandmother's old sofa bed.

Everyone needs a good home office nowadays because of COVID-19. Do you have a dedicated space for you to work at home?

This is an one bedroom downtown apartment that we just finished renovating from top to bottom. We opened up the wall leading to the once isolated kitchen. Pretty much everything was gutted. The client’s chosen colour was black! They will be seeing it for the first time tomorrow, but here is a sneak peek for you!

I came to Fairmont Banff Spring for the view, but is it crazy to say that I was impressed by the interiors of this lounge slightly more than the gorgeous view of Banff outside? I especially love the impressive scale of the fake library and the hidden door that leads to a private dining room!

It’s been a hectic week as we rushed to get our client’s three rooms ready for her kids. The design was done a year ago, but we were contacted a few weeks ago to move forward with execution. Because of our planned family vacation the following week, we had only one week to paint, purchase, assemble, install, and accessorize. The room is now fitting for a 13 year old teenage boy, not too kiddish and not too grown up. Here’s a sneak peek of what we managed to accomplish in five days. By taking out the seldom used top bunk, the room instantly became visually more spacious. And the new wall colours made the room much fresher than the original beige colour. My favourite would have to be how the wall art spans across the bed and bedside table to visually enlarge the space. What’s your favourite part that we took out/added in?

What do you think about this colour? It’s called Skyfall from Sherwin Williams. But it’s light and cheery that I would rather call it Sky rise.

Day 2 of a townhouse facelift for our client’s kids’ room. Yesterday we prepped the room by removing all the things on the wall and patched the holes. Today, we’ll begin painting.

Today is INSTALLATION day. It’ll be an exciting and busy day. The delivery came at 10:30am and it took just an hour to unload everything into the apartment.

I was going to write 10 simple tips, but then I thought, why not keep it simple and stick to my top three? It is a holiday afterall. Happy Canada Day.

With the weather being so nice lately, we decided to enjoy our dinner in our small patio. With the music playing, it was the next best thing to being in Hawai’i.

During the time of quarantine, I still had to go to my client’s empty apartment for a site visit this morning to double check on some measurements for a built-in unit that we are custom building. Join me for a quick tour while everything is gutted.
