Shorts in November? Last week, 2020 continued to surprise us all.

Though Harbourfront Centre’s main buildings remain closed to the public, our campus remains open and lovely. Come and wander as Toronto bathes in this last wave of warm weather before the winter.

In this video, Amanda McCavour discusses how she managed to take her work, which is usually much smaller, and blow it up to the scale needed to transform our North Orchard. Her experiences are particularly useful for artists who might find themselves in the same situation some day: how do you make things really big while maintaining the integrity of your work?

We love Toronto. We love being a big part of it. We love the streetcars as they glide by, and the pedestrians too, and the skyscrapers towering just north of us, and all the life here.

We never get tired of Amanda McCavour's installation Sketch, Sample, Sew. Since it was installed in the North Orchard in September, it’s brought us so much joy here at Harbourfront Centre.
