One of our Harbourview family, Jennifer Burke, wrote a beautiful and moving tribute to Keisha. Dear Sweet Keisha, I’m so so sorry. I’m sorry. You were beautiful and I’m sorry you didn’t know that fully. You were a delight to be around especially when you felt safe enough to be yourself. ... I’m sorry you are gone. I’m sorry we will never laugh together again. You had a great laugh. I’m sorry we will never share another warmed cinnamon roll with soft serve ice cream, I loved that we shared those. Your presence at the restaurant will be missed. So missed. You were one of us, family. I’m sorry Keisha. I love you, I will miss you. I’m sorry. ***For those who don’t know, Keisha died of an accidental overdose this week. I pray her death would cut deep in her circles and will help some of them break free from the vicious cycle of using street drugs. My heart is sorry and angry mostly sorry. See more

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Keisha Gormley, a valued member of our Harbourview family. Keisha's bubbly personality and boundless energy made her a favourite among our customers. We will miss her laughter and ready smile.

We encourage everyone to shop local where possible. It's more important than ever, as a lot of businesses are struggling this year.

We are now closed for the 2020 season. Darlene and Dawn would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support this summer, despite our relocated dining area. We met a lot of new folks this season. It was wonderful to see so many Islanders exploring their own province and discovering Murray Harbour, many for the first time. We hope to see you again next year, along with the many loyal customers we have served over the past five years. We are especially p...roud of our hardworking team this year. Kelly, Greg, and Jen were a joy to work with, along with our occasional waitresses, Cheryl and Keisha, and our occasional help in the back kitchen and baker of our gluten-free bread, Cathy. We couldn't provide such good food and service without them. Thanks to Chris and Eli for providing great live music for us on Friday nights. We'd also like to thank our husbands, Wayne and Alan, for their hard work, patience, and cheerleading during the past five years. We mourn the sudden passing of Lorin Brehaut, who originally opened Brehaut's Restaurant forty-four years ago. Darlene and Dawn worked with Lorin for many years before the Brehauts' retired, and we opened Harbourview Restaurant. He was well-loved and our heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
