BIG NEWS Effective right now, Jay Pudota is taking over HAMP and Microthalassia. Jay has many years of experience in the monitoring and mitigation of harmful algae, especially as it impacts salmon aquaculture. He worked for Marine Harvest / MOWI for six years, starting as a plankton technician in Quatsino Sound, and working his way up to Water Quality Manager for the Canadian west coast arm of the company. He has now left MOWI so he can take over HAMP and Microthalassia and provide these services to industry, government, and academia. He also has experience with zooplankton identification, including jellyfish and biofouling species. He has a BSc and MSc in Marine Science, and is a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio).
