Today in the church marks the day of Jesus of Baptism. This morning Rev. Elizabeth encouraged us to recall the vows taken at baptism and how they call each of us throughout our lives to be the church. As we placed our finger tips in water and placed it on our foreheads, we were reminded that in our baptism, each of us is a child of God....each of us is beloved. Thanks be to God....Amen To watch our worship service simply click on the link below.

We extend our sympathy to Janet, Stephen and Mitchell Burke, friends of Harmony, on the death of Janet's mother Deanna Cosman, a faithful servant of God and the United Church. Deanna will be missed by many and especially to her large extended family and community. I am personally thankful and believe I am a far wiser woman for having known Deanna. Her courage, persistence and love of life was contagious. We are not alone. In life, in death, in life after death, we are not alone.

Hello friends. Harmony has decided to cancel the Take Out Breakfast scheduled for Nov 28th due to the increased number of Covid-19 cases in our region and moving back to the Orange Phase. Please be safe and extend kindness to all you meet as these days unfold.

Happy New Year friends and welcome 2021! On this snowy yet beautiful day we welcomed Rev. Dr. Ian Manson to Harmony. Ian will serve in team ministry with Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Stevenson supporting the work of Harmony as we continue on the path of calling a full time minster sometime in the coming months. As Ian shared this morning, like Mary, Joseph and the Magi, we are on a journey and that indeed, God is "traveling on" with us. Thanks be to God we are not alone. The Parable of the Talents was at the heart of our worship today. Rev. Elizabeth reminded us that we each are filled with gifts to share with the world. Indeed, Harmony United is grateful for the many, many gifts that people so willing share and the generosity with which they do. Today's worship service is available by clicking the link below or by visiting our YouTube Channel.

Like many churches in our community, we returned today to an on-line service only due to the rise in cases of Covid-19 and a return to Phase Orange. This was not as we had planned or hoped but as we have done in the past, we adjusted quickly and together with our friends from Silver Falls, we had a wonderful worship service led by Rev. Steve. The message from Matthew 25 "What you do for the least of these......" certainly hits home in these current times. As Steve reminded us, this is a message to remember as we look out into our community and wonder what might we do as individuals and as a church to serve those who need us most. Certainly kindness and love would be at the forefront. And as we do....we know we are never alone...thanks be to God. Simply click on the link below to watch today's worship service.

We had a moving Remembrance Day service this morning at Harmony. The words of "In Flanders Field", the familiar scripture from John 15 with the commandment to love one another along with Rev. Steve's message, were all reminders to us of the sacrifices made on our behalf and the call to love. A special thank you to Jean Stevens for placing our wreath today. We celebrated All Saints Day this morning at Harmony and indeed, we are "privileged' to be surrounded by many! Who might the saints be that have been part of your faith journey? We also took a moment today to say "Thank you" to our minsters Rev. Steve Longmore and Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Stevenson for their gift of ministry to Harmony and beyond. The past month was Clergy Appreciation Month and it was great to have an opportunity to recognize their contribution. To view our service from today simply click on the link below and you will be led to our YouTube Channel. We encourage you to subscribe to our channel so that you don't miss a Sunday!
