After attending an internet repair where the customer had the flu and didnt warn us before the appointment we have had to make a decision on the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. With 138 Active Cases of Covid-19 in Ontario, with every case self quarantining and with public health advising if people are showing symptoms to self quarantine, we are currently stopping all residential Installs and Repairs until further notice. Being a small business the decision is difficult but the health and safety of our staff and customers is priority. We will continue to monitor the ongoing Pandemic and update customers as we get updates.

We've been hit a heavy start to october and have postponed our internet release. Securtek is still on strike, no end in site. Industry staffing is still at an all time low with most companies hiring and unable to find employees.... Shipping and inventory levels from our suppliers have been delayed- resulting in longer wait times for installations. Interlogix announced it will be stopping production in January. Most suppliers have reduced stock or are special order. Alarm.com equipment is receiving tariffs from the us government resulting in about 20 usd extra per camera. Hikvision has been added to the banned list for import of China goods. Unsure how it will affect us in Canada.

Securtek is part of the Saskatchewan crown strike. Operations for customers are still in effect with management running the monitoring centers and tech support. You should not receive any difference in the level of service. New installations and in depth tech support le account problems may have a slower then desired completion.

The issue is migrating your account over is not working and certain systems will no longer login. This is a Lorex issue. We have no ability to fix it, and this is another reason why we dont install customer purchased devices.... After sitting in hold for an hour and a half today only to be told I should recommend the customer purchase another system- I'd be glad to quote reliable and professional security brands but there is nothing I can magically do to make your lorex system work.

We continue to receive service calls regarding the Kiddie Combination Alarms. The Alarms within 1 year of Installation (as short as 3 months) will continuously alert to a a Fire and the Hush Button doesn't work. It turns out there is a bad batch of Alarms but Kiddie is not performing a recall on the product, but if you call they will mail you replacements. ... Again, I wouldn't push Kiddie Alarms. I Personally Love the Nest Protect or the cheaper First Alert products.
