HCHS would like to thank Hinton Wood Products for their continued support to our shop program. Hinton Wood Products has donated wood to the shop for several years and in doing so has helped hundreds of students learn about construction and build lasting projects. The wood they've donated has been used in bedside tables, picnic tables, swings, chairs, bookshelves, and even a pool table! We've even been able to upgrade our work tables. Thank you for your continued support for our students.

Six Firefighters volunteered their time on a freezing cold day to help chop wood for our Prom fundraiser. We want thank them so much!!

The Holiday Hampers program once again draws to a close. We feel so unbearably lucky that we live in a town as generous as Hinton. We never fail to band together to help lift our community up a little higher, and that's what makes us so amazing! This year, we were able to put together hampers for five families, 12 gifts for individuals through the YES Women's Shelter, and an additional 12 gifts for individuals through HELP! And now, what you've all been waiting for...... Did our reigning champions make it happen? Was the big man behind them all along? . . . YES! Mrs. Wotton's Chemistry 30s are the first class in the history of this program to REPEAT as champions! They first won last year when they were in Chemistry 20, and they have set a new precedent to strive for as our FIRST EVER REPEAT CHAMPS! Our program had a grand total this year of $6025 donated! Thanks to the contributions to many students, staff, and Hinton's Boston Pizza (THANK YOU AGAIN!) we were able to help bring some smiles to some valuable community members this holiday season. It's the penultimate Holiday Hampers update! Tomorrow we will announce the winners and our grand total! Turnbull is wondering to herself if this will be the second straight year that the Grade 11s beat the Grade 12s in total donations? The Grade 11s are currently in the lead by a healthy amount!
