The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, which calls barristers to the bar in England, is visiting Canada (Ottawa & Toronto) this September. The Society organizes each year an Amity Visit abroad to meet with members and other legally minded people in a different country. Previous visits have included: Hong Kong, Singapore, Washington DC, Malaysia, South Africa, Mauritius, and Barbados. Please find attached the program. Some components are free.

Hellenic Canadian Lawyers' Association 09.10.2020

Join us on June 27 at 6:00 pm for our Annual General Meeting which will be held at McCarthy Tétrault LLP (Toronto). This year we are pleased to present a Continuing Professional Development conversation, Greek Lawyers’ Odyssey: From diaspora to the Supreme Court, where we will discuss, among other things, the value of diversity and inclusion by drawing upon our own Hellenic diversity experience. We are also pleased to present a star panel featuring:... Gina Alexandris George Bougadis, and Gus Alexiou. This event has been accredited for 1 hour of LSO Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) credits. Following the CPD, annual reports will be presented, followed by updates from the Executive Committee. We will conclude the meeting with our annual election. There will be a total of five (5), 2-year term director vacancies to fill this year. All those interested in joining the Executive Committee are encouraged to attend the meeting and submit their name for consideration by the membership.
