One step closer to opening June 1st! If you have contacted me I will be in touch in the next few days to arrange an appointment time. I appreciate your patience as it will take some time to fit everyone in due to the new rules I cannot take as many clients each day. A few things that will have changed when you come back to the salon.... ~I can only have one client inside the salon at a time, so please wait in your car or on the front porch until previous client has left and I am ready to begin your service. ~ I will have allowed extra time between each client to sanitize tools and all necessary surfaces. ~ I will have hand sanitizer outside the door for you to use before entering. ~ Masks will need to be worn by myself and all clients, so if you have one please wear it or I can provide you with one when you come. ~ If you need to use the washroom it is available and there is hand soap and paper towel for hand washing. ~ I will be updating my contact list to have every clients current phone numbers and email addresses to send out information more efficiently, particularly in the case of contact tracing if necessary. ~ Please see Covid19 screening questionnaire and please understand if you have any symptoms mild or otherwise I will need to cancel your appointment. ~ Due to the time I will lose between appointments to spread clients out and clean between each one, as well as the added costs of products etc. due to Covid-19, you will note an increase in all my service prices. ~ My hours as of June 1st are as follows: (some exceptions will apply) Monday closed Tuesday 10-7 Wednesday 10-5 Thursday 10-7 Friday 10-5 Saturday closed Sunday closed If you have any questions please email me: [email protected] or text 604-961-1926.

Here's a video update for May 12, 2020. In a nutshell: Worksafe BC hopes to have their "Guide for hair and nail salon employers returning to operation" ready by late Wednesday at the very soonest. Provincial Health should deliver their revised standards for post-COVID practices sometime between Wednesday at the soonest to Friday at the latest.... The order to remain closed stays in effect until the two above documents are public.

Hang in there peeps! Still no official salon opening date from Health Canada. I know we have all heard May 19th, but that is not an official date. It is looking like June 1st at the soonest. To all my customers, as of tomorrow I will be shutting the salon down temporarily until further notice. Hopefully this will only be for a couple weeks.
