I'm sharing the news on our page today as my uncle Leo, Georges' brother has passed away. Leo was an integral part of Hearst Air. Without his support, we wouldn't be the company and team we are today. Leo shared his passion for aviation with Georges at a very young age, helped him get started as a pilot and then kept his planes maintained and safe for over 25 years. Those of you who have been with us for many years have surely had the pleasure of meeting Leo around the dock and hangar at some time. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything Uncle Leo xo

Our first guests have already come and gone, filled with new memories despite Covid-19 ! NOW THAT FEELS LIKE A VICTORY. It's so great to get back into the groove. News of border closures being extended until July 21st means more rescheduling is needed for our American guests. These calls break my heart. More restrictions have been lifted for the Ontario tourism industry. We can now accommodate groups of up to 10 people coming from different households traveling from anywhere in Ontario. Our borders are still closed to our valued American fishermen at this time, but we are hopeful for later in the summer. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone for being so understanding and patient with all the changes and uncertainty. Just another reason we are working so hard at getting... you back up here soon. UPDATE May 20, 2020 - US / Canada border closure is extended to June 21,2020 - Ontario is now in its 1st phase of re-opening which will last from 2-4 weeks. Tourist establishments have not been given any indication of which phase we will be in...phase 2 or 3. This puts our next update around June 2nd, maybe more info then. - Carey lake is still frozen today but the sun is hot and doing a great job at getting us into spring...finally...hopefully, we will have the planes in the... water next week.
