Earlier this week, Dr. Emily Newhouse of Vancouver Coastal Health told Postmedia News: The literature is very clear. When you reduce speed, you reduce injuries. The news of the Council’s decision was reported on the front page of today’s Vancouver Province and in the Vancouver Sun’s online edition. The motion aims to reduce the speed limit on certain residential side streets from 50 km/h down to 30 km/h.
