Greg went out on his friend's sailboat on the first day of Spring to get some photos from the ice line on the Kennebecasis River. He made this little film for fun! https://youtu.be/mCXmlUOvX9s

Tonight Greg has the absolute honour to host the discussion after the screening of Entangled at the Silver Wave Film Festival! Entangled is a 2020 release focusing on how climate change has accelerated a collision between one of the world most endangered species, the North Atlantic Right Whale, the fishing industry, and the federal agency mandated to protect both. This film is beautiful, eye-opening, and critically important. I will host a conversation with the filmmaker / journalist David Abel of the Boston Globe, November 10th at 7pm AST. Please join us! https://watch.eventive.org/silve//5f7f399652341201365622da
We are so honoured to be the recipients of the Silverwave Film Festival’s Best Short Documentary award for our film When You Are Wild!!!!! Here is the awards video, so many great films this year! You can watch the online awards here: https://watch.eventive.org//5f849/5f8496f375b8f20053bb9a9f
You can watch our film right now for free at the Silver Wave Film Festival! (If you are in Atlantic Canada). When You Are Wild is a documentary that follows a day in the life of a rock icon who is virtually unknown outside his home state of Vermont. J. Willis Pratt is that icon. Homeless for close to a decade, Willis never gave up on his dream to be a famous rock star. In the 1980s, he befriended the members of the band Phish who were attending Goddard College in his hometown... of Plainfield. This friendship led to the drummer of Phish, Jon Fishman, to help him with his dream by not only playing drums for him when he could, but also inviting him to open up for Phish in Albany in front of 20,000 people. Willis was never able to catch a break outside of Vermont, but when the word got around that he was diagnosed with cancer and he needed help, his fans and friends came out of the woodwork to support him as he headlined his own benefit show. When You Are Wild is a heart-felt music film that shows a community supporting one of its own when support is most needed. https://watch.eventive.org/silv//5f7f48bfe050ec0036437181

Hey friends ! At 3:30 pm AST we will have our conversation with Mathew Modine at this link: https://youtu.be/uQHX8x-ejxU
Through a series of interesting events in the universe, a new friend of mine named Peter Corbin has connected me to actor, activist and filmmaker Mathew Modine. I have been a fan of Mathew since I saw him play James T. Joker David in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket way back in my film school days. Matthew has worked with many of the film industry’s most acclaimed directors on projects including Stranger Things, Dark Knight Rises, Birdy, Married to the Mob, Shortcuts, an...d Showtime’s Weeds. We were connected because of our collective interest in the use of film to address the climate crisis. Mathew, Peter and collaborator Deb Spilman have created a movement called ‘Do One’ that inspires people to make the right decisions for mother earth. I have the privilege of hosting and moderating a conversation with Mathew that will be sure to cover is incredible career, the filmmaking process, how we as filmmakers can create green sets, and tell stories that inspire audiences to engage in addressing the climate crisis with us. This conversation will take place November 7th at 7pm AST. Register for this live discussion here! https://watch.eventive.org/silve//5f92ecf1cc76aa1624b33894
