What a great night under the lights tonight. 36 members enjoyed a night of Aussie Pairs. The bar was busy and the oldies were playing. A few prizes were handed out and lots of laughs were heard throughout the night. Thank to all who came out for the fun and to all for their commitment to social distancing.

Friday Fun Night has 2 spots left for our members. We will play 3 x 4 end Aussie Pairs Games and award some prizes. Cost is just $5 and the bar will be open. Heritage was the scene of the Memory Gardens Club tournament yesterday. A full entry of 36 members played 4 snowball games in wind and off and on drizzle all day. It was so much fun seeing our members enjoying the game safely. Masks were worn and all felt safe. Thanks to all who came out and all the volunteers that made the day a huge success

Exciting News. Heritage is hosting the Memory Gardens Club tournament for our members. Saturday, August 29 at 10:30 am. Sign up as an individual, and teams will be pre-drawn. Cost is just $10 for a whole day of fun playing 3 x 8 end games. Reserve your spot at www.heritagegreens.ca.

2020 continues to be a difficult year for our club. We mourn the loss of long time member Anne Patterson. Anne was a regular at Jitneys and her infectious smile will be missed. Deepest condolences to Annes family and friends.

Everyone remember when we tried to be within a mat length to succeed? Now 2 meters seems the way to go. Dont forget that we are open for socially distanced bowls. We are allowed to have 2 members per rink but must maintain 2 meter distance to stay healthy. Book a green time on our website and get back to the game we all love.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, David Milne after a brief illness. David was a long time member of Heritage Greens. He had served many years as a board member, past president, sponsor, current treasurer and he spent countless hours as a volunteer wherever needed. David's smile and wonderful personality will be missed by our members and visitors at Heritage. Deepest symapthy to David's wife, Sandy and the entire Milne family. Celebrate Bowls Day in Canada today. Covid 19 caused the cancellation of our annual pig roast and a whole day to celebrate the game we love, but dont not let that stop us from celebrating.

Th Stratford Lawn Bowling Club. Over 100 years of history bulldozed for a new Theatre. They have a new home but will never be quite the same.

Its with sadness that we announce the passing of Heritage member, Russ Miller. Russ had been a member of Heritage the last few years and was part of The Ontario Novice Champion team in 2018. Phase One of play this season will have restricted play. Cant wait to see friends on the greens. Spring work is being done on the greens and will be ready as soon as we get approval from the City and OLBA.

For those who have inquired about Novice Eligibility for Provincial Events, the OLBA has approved that novice bowlers will not lose a year of eligibility for 2020.

Due to the covid 19 pandemic, the City of Kitchener has closed our club until the end of June. All events have been cancelled until that time. We have started spring maintenance and will have the greens ready for your enjoyment as soon as its safe to renew friendships. Social distancing at its best.

Dont forget to send in your membership dues for 2020. We still have hope to get on the greens this summer. Without your support , we cant pay our bills. In the meantime, a little fun from Sarasota Lawn Bowls club. Enjoy.

Happy Easter to all our members and friends. Dont forget to send in your membership cheques to help keep our club alive. We have city approval to begin spring maintenance (social distancing of course) and cant do it without your support. When This virus has left us, we will all need to renew friendships. Stay safe and healthy and well all be together again.
