With great sadness in our hearts, we share with you the passing of Onyx, our six-and-a-half-year-old alpha male. Unfortunately, between our staff and our veterinarian, we are unable to determine his specific cause of death, though we find some assurance in knowing he passed naturally. Onyx has represented new hope for Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre. He was the only surviving pup from the first litter born after the criminal fence cutting and his father, Fang’s introduction. H...is presence gave us hope for the future of our pack, and what a beautiful pack they’ve become. Over his years, Onyx grew to be an attentive older brother to his younger pack mates, and eventually a stunning alpha male after his father’s passing. In our heartbreak we ask you to share with us your memories, photos and videos of Onyx. Our amazing photographer, Stephanie Brown has put together an album of photos of Onyx throughout his life as a memorial.
