With electronics today batteries heat up when plugged in even if the device isnt in use. Never charge your electronics while they are on sitting on fabrics such as table clothes or bedding, and never leave them charging when you go to sleep. Unplug chargers when not in use electricity is still running through the charger even if nothings plugged into it.
